I just signed up, as if I'm gonna be there, but haven't payed.
I got fucked by the government, so money is nearly non-existent.
Here's my details:
100 or less treadwear +6
Wheel width 8.5-9" +2
Any change to factory suspension +2
Any Torsen (including OE) or clutch type differential +1
Any exhaust mod +1
Any external engine mod (intake, ECU, pulley, NOS) +1
total: 13 modified class
There is a possibility of me running a carbon trunk with wing, but i will still be in modified even with that combo.

trunks are a 2min. swap out. i'll swap with someone if they wanna see what it does. mine is a cheapy, but it's tall enough to get good airflow, and i did some wind tunnel testing yesterday to make sure the position (angle) i have been running was the best, and it was.

Fantastic, thanks in advance. The before-and-after test is going to be real interesting. I want to see how much of a difference it makes.
I hope to hit 150. I have hit 170+ at TWS but on a liter bike, with no front fairing, but that is another story The real trick on the front straight is to stay on the gas until you see God, then count to two, then turn left, then maybe use the brakes.

No not that I am aware of. We do not get onto the NASCAR banking, which is steeper than the front straight. Hell I drove my pickup truck around the NASCAR banking once (got wrist-slapped for it) going pretty slow and did not have any oiling issues.

my bad: i thought you were talking in regards to a miata challenge. you also said nobody allows open passing. there's probably more but that's just one i know of. i don't know how many challenge dates you would like but if you count each day of a nasa weekend separately plus say harris hills once or twice, you've got a whole season challenge of 14 trackdays. not sure what open passing has to do with miata challenge anyways. but if that's what you want, cage your car buy a hans and go wheel to wheel racing. besides, even though it wasn't policy, i've run in a bunch of advanced/instructors goups where we did open passing and nobody said anything as long as we kept it clean.
Open passing is important because we're talking about hot-lapping here and you must be able to pass to stay competitive. Its not about bombing a corner, its about paying attention, especially when you're not on a hot-lap.
The track events in Dallas are dumb because with Apex and "The Driver's Edge" they don't even take the blue/yellow flag out. Rather than tell the slower car to yeild, they'd rather black flag the faster car for "following too close," lol. I ran a Subaru club day when my car made 94whp/74wtq on $700 suspension and was yelled at like a bitch for following to closely when I should have "pitted for spacing" every 3-laps. Hallett is much better.
Sorry for the thread jack.
