Mehh - I'd LOVE to get the tracktoy on the road, but that'd be 1) a rough ride up 2) would be crushed if caught
We'll see as the time draws near - my red '93 has crazy clutch slippage and not sure if I'll replace it until the tracktoy engine swap is complete - hey, got my priorities. Everything from the track miata will be put into the '93 - then it will be some road fun!

Yeah I read that wrong, fastest I've been in a miata up there was my car on r-comps. Playing with the local bikes is fun with lots of grip!

Genesplicer, TN has no emissions, I've seen a few spec miatas up there. So you'd only be hit with bad registration if the tags didn't match up lol.

If you bring yours, I'll get a friend to bring his:

Hmmm- wonder what the cop will say when he runs the KMA-KZ tag I have and sees it's registered to my GMC Sierra Now I can pull the plate off the '93 - would probably get by unless he checks the VIN.

Marcus, I'd bet fastest Miata time through the Gap would be held by Ben. He had a mostly stock 94 with only some suspension goodies.

I remember when he ran down some sport bikes in his Chevy Truck.

How many years was that his daily commute?

6-8 years? Drove the hell out of that blacked-out crown vic with subs too.

I let some sportbikes past me last Saturday, they looked like serious business leathers, knee pads, and all. It was great when I got the double look

I freaked out everytime I passed it, even after I knew it was him hauling *** and bumping.

That reminds me, whats the deal with the store blocking off the entire parking lot to cars. It was blocked off near the end of the season and it definitely wasn't crowded. More than enough room for the 3-4 cars I was with to park near the fire pit.

I hope that don't do that during MATG :(

Yeah, they did that last year because it go so crowded up there on Friday and Saturday. There's plenty of parking across the street in the two gravel lots though.

We just got back. The weather was fantastic and the roads were clear. I grabbed a chunk of the gap (asphalt) between mile #4 and #5. When I unpacked it at home I started wondering how many people have a piece of their favorite road <G>.

We were down there in the G35 over Easter weekend, had a blast as usual. We took the Foothill Parkway for the first time ever and its a lot of fun too. I can't wait to drive it again in July in the Miata.

Drove the Dragon for the first time last Friday on my way to the Mitty - what a blast. Definitely want to get back there soon.

Here's my first attempt with the gopro and editing with some free software from download.com, heh.

Stock 94 R, FM front sway, RB endlinks, HPS pads, some 15x7s with sticky tires

Details on the software? I need to edit the footage I took in the G35 so I can post it up on youtube.
