I'm going to probably test suspension again this weekend. I can't sign up until I obtain a truck of course...hopefully I'll be on that list soon. So how many hired killers are showing up to this which we don't know of yet? Am I going to have to compete against ***** with a bunch of trophies and **** who are going to make me wish I never showed up?

saw your car at Gashead today, while my bushing were being done.

You even have a radar detector in the same place as me

Well, I don't really want to drop $250 for track time, drive 4-hours each way, just so I can blow the car up and or get curb stomped.

I'm going to have to drop another $190 and drive four hours each way (and probably $80 to spend the night in the Benbrook Motel 6) just to come in last place in Unlimited for the MSR Cresson event.

I'll do it, though, to ensure the success of the Texas Miata Challenge.

jesus, how about spending $180 for track time, instruction, hang with fellow miata friends, develop your car, develop your driving, share speed secrets, get drunk, eat bbq, and get trained in the glow of the camp fire?
the $40 nasa membership is a 1 time deal. and i assume your adding amb rental.

not sure how you would blow your car up. this track has some of the slowest avg. speeds of the series.

i drove 7 hours each way to go to msr-c for the tdr event a few months back.
like i said at the begining, get tough.

and you guys are missing out if you're getting rooms. the track is where it's at. pitch a tent or some of our friends have enclosed trailers that we sleep in. just bring a sleeping bag and extra blankets. it get's cold at night in jan/feb. we'll be there drinking beer and talkin' **** all night.

that's a good attitude right there ^^^^
hustler's an example of a bad attitude
although i wanna win, i will help anybody get faster, even if it means they will beat me. you guys that are willing to run as many events as possible have a chance at becoming miata world rockstars. this is the ground floor of something that could become pretty big. how many miata enthusiasts know who emilio, matt andrews, jason saini, jim daniels are? now, how many people know about or have heard of savington, vagaxt, bellwilliam, trackdayhookey, etc.. because of miata challenge. that's not even their real real names. they're like miata super heroes! lol.. okay, maybe i went a little too far, but you get the picture. that's not even a real reason to be doing this, but it sounded cool. just show up, have fun, get fast.

I actually have a very, very bad attitude. My father has disappeared again so I don't know what's up with my potential truck, and that will preclude me from competing because I refuse to get marooned in Houston.

Negative, I won't create that situation. I will however sell it on the spot for a loss.

here is a hpde tech sheet. you can print it out and have it filled out and ready before you get to the track. it'll save a little time.

in case you guys missed it, here's the link to register for the first event at msr-h on jan. 30th: https://www.nasaproracing.com/event/1013

not sure why the link on nasatx website isn't working but it would have led you here anyway. also, i noticed there isn't an option for the transponder rental. i'm assuming that they will be doing that the day of the event. possibly due to people being upset they were sold out even though they had pre-paid for one. it might also help registration at the track run smoother since they won't be giving out refunds because someone didn't get one.
so remember, as soon as you get there, go and register and pick-up your amb transponder.

We are going to be making a 26' for the miata plus a work bench area and a bed. That may make it to some of the events. We really want it before June when we do the chump car 24 hour race in Dallas.

It looks like I may drive the Miata to Houston with a tire trailer, rather than pull it. I guess I can leave the car with Rob if I break it and drive back down to fix it.

5-hours each way in an aluminum seat is going to be awesome.

3 because they probably will not make you have an instructor with driving resume and has the same rules as 4 and runs with 4
