Stick to code names only.

Nope, I didn't have my Traqmate yet the last time I drove CW. Some guys report driving CW faster than CCW, so you should break 1:59.00 with your 13" Hoosiers.

I think I was turning 1:59.x in the CW direction. Its been a while and I dont have too many laps in that direction.

I'd pull out alot of wing for CW. the fast sweepers (T12 & T7) do not have much or a straight leading up to them and were easily WOT before i had a wing. T2 & T1 are so huge, aero will really only slow you down.

I was topping 5th (133 mph-ish?) before aero on the front straight, havent run it w/ the aero, but i'd be a good bit slower.

Still not positive I will make it, but if I do I'll be running w/ the unlimited guys.

That is the one I am probably bringing, although there is a problem with the ECU that is being fixed. It should be ready in time, but right now it is not running. The LS1 car has no differential or halfshafts.

I simply can't make it. I'm only in town for a total of 9-days in August and not home any weekend in September.

What is the name of the company that sells racing products at NASA events? Last time at TWS they had a red EZ/Up type booth near the gate to the infield. I need to call them and see if they can have something for me there on Saturday.

i was trying to remember the name or find it online by going to tws or ultrashield websites. and just when i had decided to give up, there was a list of sponsored sites at the lower left side of the page and the one on top caught my eye. and i found it, or atleast i'm 99% positive i found it. i remembered because i bought an ultrashield racing seat after first sitting in one at their booth. i also bought a really nice air gauge, really cheap from them at tws one year. here's the linky

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fort-W...8405034?v=wall

and their website: http://www.vro.com/

Thanks!

I am still a maybe for this weekend. A few things have to come together tonight that I do not have direct control over. I hope to make it.

Anyone got a separate bed in a hotel room they want to split, or some floor space, or interested in same? Looking for Fri and Sat night. This is not a date, unless you are Hustler It is going to be too damn hot and humid to sleep at the track. Been there, done that.

That made my head hurt...
If I go, let's get a room both nights? Or are you not staying for Sunday if your friend does not go? Which hotel? HoJo or La Quinta maybe? That seems to be the only 'cheap' ones left.

Anyway, I'll post up tonight if I am going. It could be laaaate, but I will post.

Spoolin, what did that race shop at TWS charge you to check your alignment? I may have to get the car aligned at the track, or at least have the camber and toe checked on the rear.

Something I needed did not get here today so I may not be able to bring the turbo car, dang it... It is now a long shot I will be there though I am not giving up yet. I could always run my truck

lol, i meant i was gonna stay at the track fri. night, but get a room for sat. if my buddy went to split the bill. if three of us went, i would have enough to split the hotel for both days. and yes i'm running on sunday also. if i go by myself, and you don't go, then i'll sleep at the track in the heat.

If I go, give me whatever you can afford and we'll split a room both nights. Just one bed though because you will have to earn your stay

They didn't charge anything! Great guys. I had to force $20 on them so they could have a few beers on me.
As far as sleeping arrangements go, GROSS! Lol

Well, you will have to get cozy with someone else. It is unlikely I will make it. Sorry guys. Have a good time.

What's up with your car? I might could let you take a session in my car. I don't know if you'll fit though. I'm tall and fat and you're not. Come down and we'll see.

Well I'm here and tired. I saw six ace's car, and my Porsche club buddy's, but that's it. Where's everybody at. I'm going to sleep. See you guys in the morning.

Still in SA. Did not get the car running for sure until late last night. I decided that racing at TWS with no sleep is probably a bad idea. May your lap times rock.

I got a preliminary report from someone there that there was some heat-induced craziness at the track. I heard the story but will save the details for a TxMC participant report.

NOAA reported it was 101F there at 6 pm. Damn...
