1. 294whp with zero tuning, I just roughed in the fuel map and did the pull
2. 8.6:1 vs 9.5:1, and I think we are using the same timing values (like 16-17 degrees at full boost), I am staying very conservative since I really don't have a good way to listen for knock right now (car is too loud for det cans)
3. Dynojet vs. Dynapack

Am I missing something in this build?
Sav’s car according to that thread: 2871 with peak hp at 294 and peak torque at 248 at 14 psi. He’s also running on 100 octane fuel.
Comparison - Paul’s Machine: 300 peak hp/ 242 torque at 14.5 psi on a 2560 and on pump 93 octane gas.
Sav’s got a 99 bottom end with the 02 head with vvt working and the new honda IM. Paul’s got a whole 99 engine with the begi IM.
Shouldn’t Sav be making MORE power with the larger turbo?

1 point compression better not make that much difference. Come on I made 269 @12psi on the 2560 with a internally stock '94, a worse exhaust mani, and wawa '92 octane. I've never "tuned" my timing and my fueling is less than perfect (~11.2:1 at higher rpm).
I hope it's due to the dynojet/dynapack differences.

I made 242 on the Mustang at 11psi, that would be 289whp on the dynojet.

Dynojets read high, give the car herpes, cheat on your wife, etc. I won't even waste time strapping my car to one. I'll use Mustang and Superflows, but I vastly prefer Dynapacks. Software is easy to use, they are *way* safer than roller dynos, and there's never any wheelspin issues. (yes, I've had wheelspin issues on dynos. )
I bet it's mostly the tune. I have like an hour into this tune tops, I'm sure Paul has way more. I don't plan to invest a ton of time into this tune since I'm switching exhaust manifolds again soon. Timmy is whipping me up something nasty. I do want to put another hour, maybe two hours into it, just to extract the most out of this setup before we make any more changes. This turbo isn't even in its sweet spot at 14psi - the 20+psi torque curves are wicked.
Big photoz, thanks to whoever took this:

I have only gone to the delaware dyno place because for us locals, it's the easiest to compare setups especially if you are always using the same physical dynojet, let alone same dyno brand. For me, making 269rwhp isn't the key, it's making xxx more power & torque at xxxx rpm sooner compared to a very similar BEGI or FM setup or one of my other setups on the same physical dyno.

Is this legal? Didn't Bill Gates try to do something similar in the 90's?
Edit: Yup, here we go.

I also did something really stupid before that last dyno...I turned on knock control, jacked with it...and managed to leave it on in megatune. So instead of pulling 5* from MBT, its pulling a total up to 8*. lol
I'm tuning Johnwag's car in the near future and I may put mine back on the roller to get a 11psi and 16psi pull just to floss on the internet.
