Hope you had some fun and picked up some ideas. If you keep AXing you'll improve quickly and get more tied into the social and event running aspect. Plus get more seat time as you can teach noobs after awhile.

If you do a proper rack de-power you'll find more control and feel at the limit…but check your race classification for such mods.

How many runs and drills did you get? Schools I've helped out at (Evo plus local clubs in NC, NY, CT, NJ, PA) tend to give quite a bit of seat time (for autocross). One recent one had the students at about 25-30 runs apiece.

here's the bullet point list
  • There were 3 different course layouts throughout the day
  • 7-8 runs on first, 6-7 on second and like 4-6 runs on 3rd course. Don't remember
  • Only the last one was timed and was about 55 second course.
  • Everyone was a beginner at both driving & working the course so things were moving painfully slow
  • Instructors were *awesome* and the lectures were decent too
  • I almost killed a course worker (have video)
  • Faeflora never heard of 2nd gear and his car sounds like an machine gun at rev limiter
  • Course was tighter than a virgin *******. Top speed 40mph....
  • I beat a lot of people with 94whp
  • My tire pressure gauge was worth it's weight in gold
  • Them BMW club course designer fantasizes about slaloms and chicago boxes
  • 5 chicago boxes, 3 slaloms in the same course

I'll upload the videos eventually. Also, karts.

Car looks good man - I like the color (this is coming from a dude that clearly likes gay colored Miatas). Heck, I even like the wing.

I remember my first autocross - it was 2001, and I showed up in my '97 Supra turbo ready to destroy everyone. I laughed at the wack cars that were there - Civics, CRXs, Miatas - until they destroyed me. That was an eye opening experience.
