Default The good 'ole days....

Ahhhh, the good old days before it got all over-hyped and played out. Circa summer of 2004 and just before I got my hands on a M45 and FMIC and tuning....so 115rwhp it was in the vids.

I forgot these were on YT.

Yeah, not a fan of that **** but I must say its not bad, considering the power level he was at and that it was dry....

I like to go out and watch these local guys in 240's drift around this one spot: at least 2 crashes a night GUARRANTEED

absolutely...I am really tempted to buy a video camera but money is real tight right now.

I kid you not, once I do I will have at least 2 crashes per video up for your viewing pleasure

a young buddy of mine just got a 240sx with a skyline rb20 engine in it after driving for 2 years in a automatic bone stock 240.....so what does he do on the FIRST DAY HE GOT IT? they all call me up: "Hey man, Will just picked up his rb 240 and we're all going ********"....I know this will be good and tag along
so first turn he gives wayy too much gas spins out and goes into a curb = rear right wheel is fucked..........SECOND turn he does the same thing but even more so and ends up going into a curb at 40+ backwards. whole exhaust system is like this ~~~~....he takes it off right there and then and goes again: AGAIN he overpowers it and just slides into another curb this time with his left rear wheel...so now the whole wheel looks like its square not round, and spindle, halfshaft, and most likely the diff is fucked.

I shake my head, laugh, offer to help tow it home, but he insists driving it the way it is, so I leave...

moral of the story: I need a video camera

I remember a small portion of the parking lot/semi terminal drift clip in one of the Beat Racing vids from when I started hanging out with them like 5 years ago. Do you remember Roy Dietch? I think there was footage from you at MATG too. I need to dig that video up.

I actually saw these a couple of months ago when I picked up my car.

Pretty sweet skills, and decent cinematography (uncommon on youtoob)

geez its been a while since Ive seen those. Ive been following Dr*fti*g since 97 with my friend Noah and through all that time, I never really got into it enough to try it more than once with my FD and then once with the last miata i had. I admire the "control" some folks can exercise over a car like that although in the end, I feel that its more car abuse than anything else

Great... Any other abuse to the Miata I should know about now?

lol j/k I did it once myself a few months after I got the car. The turbo makes it a lot of fun and pretty easy to control in such a manner.

That name doesn't ring a bell. Did he ever hang out down here in Ga?
