I know you ladies bought a bunch with the recent Black Friday $150 sale, who's gotten there's yet? Who's having issues? Who has some videos to share? Post up your answers here.

Mine are yes, yes, and yes.

here's my first test with the head strap, on r4, which is 170* viewing angle and 960p. Seems to work great!

Then I stick it to my DD and drive around the block. Sorry about the low light, it's not even 5pm yet either. This is on r5, which is only 127* viewing angle, but now 1080p. I'm having some skipping issues. Anyone know about this? Is it a low light situation? Moving too fast for 1080p? I have a 2gb PNY optima SD card, and I know they can be sensitive to memory cards.

(still waiting on that one to upload)

They'll pop up more and more, the Hero2 is coming out. Wait a month or two, they'll be plenty of $150 or even better deals.

The awesome thing about the hero2 is the ability to stream video from a wireless connection with their adapter. It would be cool for things like watching the race in car for people who can't be there. It would have been awesome for the 949 team at thunderhill. We will be getting this setup for our lemons car.

Yeah my bad. Most people wouldn't use the wireless system, but I know we will get some use out of it. I have had the original go pro for a while now and I have been waiting for something like this to upgrade.

On the Gopro forums, there are a couple threads on people that made theirs work on a wireless service in the same way the new one will.

For the OP, I don't see any skipping in the video. Is your computer up to snuff for playing uncompressed (Or whatever the Gopro outputs) 1080P video?

The video looks good. Lots of noise in the second video but that's due to the low light situation.

Mine came but I haven't opened it yet. Miata is sitting in the shop with 1" of dust on it, so there's no real rush to use it.

Post up a quick daytime drive Curly!

(still uploading)

I absolutely love this shot. It's the one time I'm thrilled to have stock suspension. The most surprising is probably the end when I come barreling back into my driveway and the tire tucks into the fender.

I'll eventually post some miata shots btw, these two shots have just been much easier on my DD rather than moving the DD, moving the **** behind the miata, pushing it out, mounting the camera, and THEN going for a drive.

edit: This new daylight video brought to you by resolution setting number three. (720p@60fps)

I got mine - but have yet to test it out. I bought a hero2 over the weekend while at Road Atlanta, so I hadn't the need to dig out the one from ebay yet. There's discussion in the 25hr 949racing thread about the new hero2 being able to feed live video with a transmitter coming out sometime in Feb. For now, the next purchase is the 3D case so I can rock the 55" 3D tv I just got

What kind of card do you have? Skipping issues on the higher res. settings may have to do with the card not being fast enough. Make sure you have a card that is meant for HD.

That's probably it. I'll eventually get the class 4 GoPro suggests, it's currently just stolen from our camera. Yeah, it's not labeled as any class, so I'm guessing that's it. I'll get the 4gb class four eventually. Thanks, forgot about that.

Oh, you don't even have a "4"? Just a "2"? If so, that's definatley your issue. If you can, just get a 6 right off the bat. They are hard to find in microSd though.

GoPro has recommended memory cards on their website, brands that is.

And 8GB or GTFO. You want the memory card to outlast the battery. I always film in 720p 60fps for motorsports. It's the best balance I think.

^ yup - 720 - 60 is what all my vids are recorded in. Anything higher in res makes my poor pc choke when trying to edit...

Couple shots with my roll bar mount. Just got a suction cup mount too. Was going to get a video driving through the river that was forged across our street, but it had drained by the time I got it setup.

I like mine.

Couple things. It SUCKS in low light, and the sound is not very good to say the least. I just leave the water tight back on mine always. The open back is fine for filming stuff with people talking, or low sound level things. Any time of movement or wind noise just kills it with that open back.

I'll post some different videos / different applications for a better idea.

Mounted off the side of my car with a suction cup mount. 720p @ 60fps (though my editing software saved it as 480 or something)

Just holding it, while cruising to the dragon. 720p @ 60fps

Idiot rolling his quad upside down over top of it. Great durability, everything was fine after all this. Though when it got smashed it hit the button and shut it off.

I also have a video of it mounted on my pretty insane RC car shot in 1080p. But youtube don't seem to like processing videos of it's size.

Here it is, but it will NOT show up in full resolution until youtube figures all that out and makes it full size.
