Default Miata @ MSR Cresson

Well, I have posted up vids of my Miata doing things it isn't intended for, IE drag racing. This is a vid of it doing what it was built for...ROAD RACING!

This video is at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, TX. The white Evo8 is owned by a local Evo tuner, and makes over 500whp. This is on street tires, too.

Ah man, I should have come on up over the hill.
I was at the Texaco when the white and black Evo's were refueling.....
Went to the Granbury house for the weekend, but wasn't in the Miata.
The one in the black thought he was hot ****. From the looks on the video, he was not. I have to laugh now.
Nice vid.....Keep it up!

the FI miata competition is ramping up quickly in Dallas. lol One day, hopefully this decade, we need to do a TX turbo miata meat there. I expect lots of hate considering I did the BEGi/MS route.

I want to get out there with Matt Andrews to see how nasty a "national champ" can deliver pain.

No kidding....I need more notes for my build. Haven't seen his car in a while.
And I want to see him drive even more now knowing he says 300 WHP just doesn't cut it anymore.

That's a good idea. Maybe talk Keith into getting a few of his turbo cars out there, too. That would be an awesome sight...20 turbo miatas on the 3.1! I am sure my driver, "The Stig", would love to see how he does against a national champ. Don't we have enough members at MSR to just go do a Miata Raid on a member's day? Let's get a list of members and non-members (buddy team) started. Then we can find a day that works best for most people and take over MSR for a day.

I have:
My boss - member
Me - non-member
Bob Stretch - member
The Stig - non-member
Keith V. - member

Kelly - member

I'm a Non-member - but Dad is a member.
He'll let you guys follow the Noble M400 as a bench mark.
Keep us posted on day, and maybe get the TDR crew vs. rivals.

I'm a non-member. (unless I can ever get a full time job)

Am I TDR crew or not?...lol.

I can't wait to hear everyone talk **** about each other. However, I probably don't have enough skill to run with this group.

edit: Gary Shuhart will emerge victorious.

Well, Gary is the target with my car. I'm out to take his lap record for a Miata @ MSR. I'll bring in Randy Pobst if that is what it takes, but my car will wear the title.

Title or not.....I would still like to meet Randy when you invite him out.
I think Matt Andrews has a good (ummmm.....great chance) - at claiming the new Miata record for MSR.

NEMESIS!

Get em boy! Sick em. Nice vid. Hopefully I can post one up next week. Running next sunday. Hopefully it won't be raining. Of course it is Oregon.

Judging by the **** poor driving. The white Evo doesn't like being pressured. Clown.

I met Randy when I did the 25hr 2 yrs ago. Very nice guy. He took the time to talk and take a pic even though he was driving for several different teams (mystery driver for the event). He even did a refuel for the car next to us for a photo-op. Great guy with GREAT SKILLZ!

I have a full interior, and I don't need luck. Fast car, good setup, good driver...that's all anyone needs.

I love pissin' matches.
Seriously though, all Bullshit stops at the track.
Let's work on a day and this could be something worthy of some annual status.

....and after taking Gary's record, I'm gunning for LG's time in his C6R. What does everyone think, a Miata with the closed-wheel lap record at MSR? I only need to shed 20seconds off the lap times.235-40-17 Hoosier slicks should net me a few seconds...then a rocket booster pack for the straights....big rear wing....dry sump oil system, so I can lower the engine a few inches, full CF panels, stripped interior...sequential transmission...

Now that I am thinking about it, anyone got a cool $1mil I can use? With that I can basicly guarantee the closed wheel record in a Miata. OK, well, as much a Miata as the NHRA Scion TC is a TC.

:P
