This is what the tow strap reminds me of:

The MSM is finally running pretty well, and has endured 8500-9000 miles of driving in the last 6 weeks.

It's been beat on through Highway 101 and the 1 out in CA in that time period. It's driven over Grand Mesa in Colorado via I65. It shuddered and juddered over The Mulholland, then dealt with sitting in traffic for 4 hours to get out of LA.

It had the absolute dog **** beat out of it on US129 The Dragon, and made it through the entire Cherohala Skyway at a good clip, even accounting for a bad storm in the middle (and driving back up The Dragon in the same storm in the dark.) It was impressively fast through The Devil's Spine.

Through all of it, it's returned about a 28-29mpg average, and i'm finally starting to "get it."

Now.... to stop giving a **** that it's a Mazdaspeed and turn it into something better. Suspension, new brakes, and some fat 15x9s and 225 rubber are next. Then EBC and a corn-fed diet.

That's one thing the BP is good for, reliable as ****. Everyone of these b6/bp motors I've ever had has ran well past the point most motors would have with the same abuse.

Sexy pics.

Did you really put fender flares on your car so that you could run stretched 185 tires? It could look okay if you used those flares for what they are intended for (HUGE TIRES) and didn't rice it out so much.

Also, chrome fuel fill lid? Quadruple chrome exhaust outlets? sorry man, but yuck.

Cue gnashing of teeth:

I'm attributing this to the Haltech Platinum Sport 1000 that is now controlling the magic of this engine.

Loving the 595 rs-r's. By far the best tire I've ever had.

Here's mine. Nothing special. I'm still debating on installing some oem mud flaps I have laying around. The only other thing I'd consider doing aesthetic wise is aftermarket side view mirrors and maybe side skirts.

These are my first true "performance" tire. Never driven on rs3's, but i imagine they are better for track duty. These heat up really quickly and are GREAT for street/canyon driving. Awesome in the rain as well.

Digging your car too man, looks good. Looks like it could use a bit more forward rake though, after dialing in some 1/4 inch of forward rake on my car it turns in and holds a line WAY better.

@z3maniac, nice cars. I try to avoid daily driving a fun car and instead opted for my slow grandpa camry because it makes driving the miata on weekend much more enjoyable. That NC is very clean tho.

thanks. I'm at 1/4" forward rake too. Having the ability to set ride height and corner weight balance is much better than my old FM spring shock combo. coils FTW.
