I also heard he may or may not have posted the hot-lap in practice.

and from the text I just got from Johnfag, he won't be hitting 160mph for a few weeks or so. Andrew cried to me last night about the 3.63 rear end, but those numbers are better than when he had a 4.10 in the car.

I just talked to Sav. Apparently the plug in #3 is missing the gnd strap. He's going to crack it and see what went wrong next week. Very sad that the motor popped because although only practice, JC's S2k was the only faster car and that has the equivalent of a couple-years of my income into it. Of course the comp rounds will be faster when everyone puts stickies on and pulls a nut out.
Now we should collectively rally around Matt/exz3 driver because he can lock up the championship in mod RWD if all goes well.

OK, you guys start me a turbo fund and I will.
I doubt I will ever actually turbo my car now with all of the problems you people have. LS1 is looking like the path I will take in the future. All of the power with less of the hassle. My goal was never to have a track monster, but a Miata that was daily drivable and not slow. Seems like with all of the nut loosening problems and leaks and blowing **** up constantly, that will never be possible while being relatively hassle free.
Maybe by the time I can afford to mod my car again, I will have something else to daily drive, in which case I won't mind having to tinker every now and then. But the engine would for sure have to be rebuilt with rods and pistons and I will still aim for my original goal of under 250whp.
