Hey! I resemble that remark! (ok, in house Hospital Security so only kinda...)

In Illinois the security guard could be charged with assault for putting his hands on him unless he is a sworn police officer. Unfortunately stuff like this puts us in bad positions because if we don't say anything and just let the guy continue, people wonder what they pay us for... That said, the proper way to handle this is to inform the guy he is trespassing and give him the opportunity to vacate the premises. If he doesn't leave, call the cops and have him arrested. Only if the guy makes an aggressive move to harm someone can you lay hands on him. (not including retail theft - but I am unfamiliar with that because I don't deal with it)

Being annoying doesn't give someone the right to assault you.

EDIT: Finished watching the video - and the grove guy in the suit does it right.
