Default Miata vs Viper

This is footage of a session at Thunderhill East last weekend. It was my first time driving my miata on the track. Make sure to watch in 720HD

Lol he was pretty off line but it was really fun messing around with him. He really wasn't that bad of a driver, I just think he was afraid to find the limit of his $100k car which you can't really blame him for.

that **** pisses me off. If I had a viper, I'd be flogging the **** out of it, so much fun. At least floor it in a straight line, god, why get a viper if you are going to drive like a grandma in her crown vic.

I like that you tried to keep adecent driving line even not going that fast, and while cars went all over the place.

Thanks man, and yeah I'd do the same but at least he's taking it out there to the track. Most people who would buy a viper just wanna show it off on the street and race people on the freeway....

Reminds me of the autocross last year where we had a first timer in an Exige S. Realy nice guy, first real sports car and he wanted to learn how to drive it. My friend ended up raw timing him in his 98 Buick Regal (the non supercharged one!)

Please encourage the noobs. Especially the "really nice guys that want to learn." These are good people.

Much encouragement was given! I hope he comes back this year to more events. He was very smooth, though timid, so we will see how he does.

"Smooth and timid" quickly leads to "smooth and not timid" with seat time. You better get out of his way!

My buddy have an Exige S but he's far from timid.
