Default Switched to Miata, from Subaru :bigtu:

Whats up I recently traded my sti swapped wagon for a 94 miata. I have been into Subaru for more than 10 years and over the years ive owned a bunch of them from an rs, to a legacy ss, forester, and my wagon which i swapped and built over 2 years.

I recently traded for this and i think its a pretty nice starting point. . With the trade i got an uninstalled diy begi type turbo kit (garret 2560), along with a diypnp,intercooler/piping, injectors, lc1 wideband, and just about everything else needed to turbo it. The turbo was never installed on this motor.

I dont plan on making a ton of power right off the bat, but am looking to get 160-185 out of it. I have been lurking for a little bit, but want to become a little more familiar with the car, and gain some more knowledge from this site before i turbo this thing.

SH*ty cell phone pics:

not sure if you noticed but your front wheel has 4 spokes and your rear wheel has 5. And you forgot to paint the hood on your subaru wagon. Yo.

I had a wagon like yours that had a turbo too until an illegal Mexican destroyed it. Even with your mismatched hood I think you lost on that trade.

pretty lame first post. Way to make an entrance. Sad. Unfortunate. Had potential.

I took it in North Whitehall P.A.

As far as the wheels go, they are Rays/volks, 5/4s's and from what i understand there pretty rare.

Bought a new house that has a garage, so i got bored one day and decided to start on the turbo build, and about 2 weeks later, boost finally:

Man, i really love this thing. I have it running on megasquirtpnp semi tuned by me, using diydutotune basemap spark table with a few air/fuel adjustments with the help of some very useful threads around here. Thank you. shes running 6lbs of boost on a garret2560, begi log mani, and diy downpipe. I plan to run it in a few auto x and track days this summer.

Nice man, clean car. I actually like those strange *** wheels, looks nice. Also your subie was badass as well.

You are going to want more boost though, this I'm sure of.

I'm really digging the mis-matched 4 and 5 spoke wheels...seriously. It works for some odd reason.

Great work on the NA. I dig your old wagon too, my daily ride is a FXT.

Thanks guys. The wheels are actually a set of wheels. They are rays/volks racing 5/4s. I was a little unsure of them at first as well, but i really really like them now.

As of right now im running the stock exhaust without a cat connected to my DIY downpipe.

The down pipe is 2.25 (yea i know should be bigger) after that its just the stock exhaust with a resonator for a cat.

In the next few days i plan to make a catback at least 2.5" from the dp back. wondering if i should keep my 2.25 resonator in there or not. Would id be too raspy without it?

Don't run a resonator...it won't be raspy at all. I have 2 1/2" from the turbo back to a muffler, and that's it. My car is quiet.

ok cool thanks. I figured it wouldn't be too loud since it does have the best muffler ever made (turbo). I was more concerned about getting that high pitched buzzing sound at higher rps.
