Default New from CT, but no Miatas yet.. :(

Hello, my name is drew and I just wanted to introduce myself. Been looking for a miata for a couple months but still haven't found one yet. Hoping there will be more f/s in the spring.

Have plans to turbo whatever I end up getting. I want to fab up most of the setup myself. I can tig weld and stuff so I shouldn't struggle to bad.

Current DD is a 08 mazdaspeed 3 with all the fixins. But that car is about finished with mods. Fully bolted, e85/meth, BNR 2871 turbo running 25psi reverse taper. It's a blast to drive and handles ok but I really want a miata as a true project car.

Wow, impressive MS3. Welcome from fellow CT member. Keep looking and I'm sure you'll find one. NA's with 1.8 motors (94-97) seem to be plentiful and cheap recently. Even check the classifieds here.

Thanks, been doing a lot of reading and planning. Originally I was thinking about using the k04 from my ms3 for the build, but I don't want to limit my turbo options down the road.
The manifold I want to make will be a t25/5 bolt exhaust setup.. Although if I did use my k04 I could always put my BNR on my miata.. Hmm that sounds like fun!

Bryan, posting in every single welcome thread welcoming other noobs is not really an appropriate way of increasing your post count. Please stop it.

huh. Greeting people in the "Meet and Greet" forum is frowned upon. That makes sense.

The new guy dragging up old threads with nothing to say but "welcome" is more obvious than you think. What are you trying to buy or sell?

Point is, you're a noob. It's like showing up to a party and, without even going inside, start welcoming people as they walk in the door. You ain't part of the party yet, so just going around welcoming people raises suspicion.

You know you gotta post some pics.

And, seeing that MS3, I'm sure you'll be starting a build thread soon, right?

We'll after 6 weeks of part gathering and finally passing emissions, I'm finally ready to start my build.
Current list of parts:
MS2e (rev built)
FIC 650cc injectors
Efr 6258
Flanges and 3" 304 for DP and 2.5" 304 for the rest of the exhaust
Flowmaster muffler
Obx resonator
Schedule 10 1.5" weld els for manifold
Vbands for entire exhaust

And bunch of other small bits, aluminum piping, intercooler, boost AFR EGT gauges, methanol setup, diy COPs setup

Still on my list of things to get in a stg1 FM clutch, fuel pump, radiator

Just started building my collector for the manifold, going to take some pics and start my build thread..

Modest goals to start, looking for 200whp and trying to find a spare block that I can start building for when the current motor taps out
