Another new guy
Hello all!
My name is Alex and I'm from Salem, Ore. Just picked up my 2nd miata (lifetime, not current) which is a 94 torsen car. Has awesome lexus/grandpa-spec two-tone paint, but besides that is mostly a peach.
All stock right now, minus the nardi deep corn 330mm that I had laying around that I threw in. Plans will keep the car pretty mild: foamectomy for now, some sort of suspension which is the bulk of my research at this moment, and some sort of 15" wheel with 205/50 tire. Nothing too crazy until I have more money to blow.
Old miata has koni/gc setup with 550/350 rates, es busings, 1" front bar with heim endlinks. Don't think I want to do koni/gc again, so been spending time researching options. Xida/FCM stuff is gonna have to wait due to con$traint$.
I've been playing with 240s for the last 8 or 9 years. I'm on my 3rd one after I spun my last one into a guardrail :( I'd like to think I'm different from most 240 idiots (onramp accident notwithstanding) in that I don't drift or go for stance. I stick to autox and the occasional track day as budget allows.
^Current 240. Has an internally stock SR, minus HKS 264 cams, a GTX2867 turbo, powerFC and some other doodads. It's making 340whp (mustang dyno) right now, and given the stock bottom end, it'll stay there for a while. Previously had a GT2876 and couldn't be happier with the new GTX. For susp it has Koni 8610 Race stuff, custom housings (hooray mac struts...) all sphericals/aluminum bushings everywhere, some Wilwood FSL front brakes with 2-piece rotors, OS Giken 1.5-way lsd, etc etc. Just trying to establish my function>form credentials
I registered on here when I had my last miata but never posted anything so I figured I'd introduce myself. Sorry for the novel!

Have you seen his posts in the track asshattery thread?
FWIW, his behavior on the racetrack is MUCH better than his behavior in gokarts :P
.....and so is mine.
