Default Newb from midwest

Hey Everybody- Name is Marcus... I am from Sioux Falls. Avid autox'er getting into Road Coursing. I own a few different cars including two miatas, a 90 and 95. A 07 Frontier, an 02 Protege, and a 73 Ford F250 Sport Custom.

I am currently in the process of revamping my 90, and converting my 95 parts car into a chump car.

Current status of my 90
stock 1.6 N/A
KYB AGX's and H&R Race Springs
Flyin Miata front sway bar
alot of weight reduction

Current build includes
99 1.8 swap,
Koni sports,
GC sleeves and springs- 525F and 320r
95 wiring harness and ECU.
Later it will get custom turbo setup, and Standalone ECU- probably AEM EMS
Alot to do to the car between now and then- and want to get it up and running in the mean time.

my 95 I bought for $250 as a side project and got turned on to Chump Car. I was crew cheif for the Bare Metal Racing team #28 Sentra that took Second at the Hallet event last summer (of course not without the help of two miatas being disqualified) so I decided to turn my 95 into a chumpcar. I figured as the stock 1.8 was blownd up. I would swap the wiring harness out of my 90 into the 95 and drop in the 1.6. I have a team put together and we have a theme in mind and a plan, but I will keep that quiet for the time being.

Hopefully as I build both cars I am going to try and keep the forums I am on updated. I joined this site for info for turbo charging and see what others have done before me to solve the random issues presented with these particular cars. I am a Mazda man through and through.

I will leave you with a couple pictures of my miatas, and a few with random friends cars.

FYI- this is what the car looked like when I bought it

most recent crappy cell phone sitting in the frozen tundra of South Dakota pic

and here is the pile of parts ready for the blue car.

Please don't mind the messy garage.

and here is the current state of my 95.

Probably see you at MAM or MPH sometime if I ever get off my *** and finish the V8 swap, that is. Been tracking my bike at both places a lot last year. Welcome to the forum. Lemme know if you need any oddball parts. My stash is getting pretty low on 1.8 parts but you never know. I get through Sioux Falls every couple of months.

Could possibly. Been to MAM a couple times, but never ran. I seem to tag along more to help other people out. At least the past couple years anyways... Having kids seem to deplete the car fund ****. Therefor have had to do small stuff the past couple years. Now that I have some $$$ to put into the car... I will be going all out.
