Default New to Forum - I like Racing :)

Quick introduction.

I've been involved in some form of motorsport since I was 9. I've raced two and four wheels, on and off road. Current addiction is spec miata. Mechanical Engineer that likes to build/machine my own parts. I'm from Michigan and you can usually find me at a SCCA or chumpcar race these days..!

Currently building a new spec miata and I have far too many miata parts in the garage that I need to part with.

I don't bite.

Lots of you lead drinkers here these days.
What part of Michigan?
I'm not far from the Michiana line.

About 3 hrs away then.
You don't happen to have a spare 1.8 block laying around do you?

NA or NB?
I think I have 3 or 4 NA1.8 cylinder heads, a complete SM 1.8NA engine built by stewart racing, another 1.8NA block that would need to be sleeved or overbored due to surface rust on the bores.

That's why I love you spec guys.
You always have drivetrain parts laying around.
How much overbore are we talking?
I just need a block.

I'd have to measure it when I get home, probably more than .010" to be safe. Its a stock bore that had ~90k when the engine was pulled. I took the head for the racecar and the bottom end is still assembled.
