Default Hello guys

Hi everybody this is Yuza from Italy

I own a 1996 1.6 Montego Blue limited edition miata that I am tuning up little by little

I am currently after a 4.3 or even shorter ring and pinion for my torsen because I mostly enjoy my miata on very twisty mountain roads and it needs a better acceleration to compete with those stupid diesel cars!!!

Cheers

After I read that you were from Italy I read the entire rest of your post in a Mario voice.

Another option is a 6-speed manual. It will have the tighter gear ratios like you are looking for without affecting your cruising speed as much. Its also stronger for down the line if you ever go trubo.

Yes 6speed would be a nice upgrade but it is hard to find here and quite expensive

4.3 R&P should be a cheap option, eventually I could send my 3.6 back and make a trade

But I still can't post in the WTB section...

You have a 3.6 ring and pinion? I would be interested in buying that off you depending on what shipping costs looked like.

Yes I recently fitted a torsen that I purchased from ebay.uk and I assumed it was a 4.1

I found out it is a 3.6 instead, that's why I am after a shorter R&P

Help me find a cheap (but good) 4.3 and I can send my 3.6 that is as new

lol, I have a 4.3 in my car now, I would gladly trade you for the 3.6 for the cost of shipping.

Which may be prohibitivly expensive, unfortunately. Also mine is a DD right now, but top-down season is quickly coming to an end here in Indianapolis, so I will have to think about it.

Yes please contact me at g.scanagatta@tiscali.it

BTW, postage from Italy to US, assuming R&P to be less than 5kg, should not be too expensive. I had a first quote yesterday of 67€ (88$), but I guess I can find a cheaper option.

A trade would be good for me, but I need to get the 4.3 R&P before I can send my 3.6 out as I can stop the car for a few days only and postage would take a couple of weeks or more.

@thenuge26: we could easily do this deal immediately, but RyanG was the first to call for it. If he and me won't have the deal for any reason, then you'll be more than welcome!

Aswering to RyanG private message (i still can't use pm...), I have seen a couple of 4.3 R&P being sold for 120$ here and on clubroadster.com.
That is still a good price, even though I have sold a complete 4.1 open diff for 50€ few months back!
Anyway, should we have a trade, we can both just pay for the shipping and I send my 3.6 for your 4.3.
