Pictures are good. And I'll go ahead and ask the inevitable question:

Sure, you're a snowflake, but are you a special snowflake?

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new addiction! Tell us a little bit more about your Miata and post some pictures, when you have a chance. I'm sure you will find a lot of useful information here.

Welcome!

You are going to want to change out that roll bar to a beefier, 4 point bar. Pretty that's it's more deadly than going without one. It's a mousetrap.

Yes, unless that bar has supports somewhere that we can't see, it's quite dangerous. I'd take it off asap as the car is safer without it than with it.

Sucks getting rear-ended.

It does suck, never thought it'd happen to me, but i guess its an experience, glad im still breathing lol also idk how to remove it, it goes all the way down, like way down there, i was gonna remove it to get a better rollbar but it looks like id have to remove pretty much everything, unless its bolted down on the bottom of the car, i haven't really looked

Its probably bolted next to the seat belt pillars. Just pull the carpet back and have a look. You'll probably have to take the package shelf apart, but not much more.
