Honda turned Mazda
Sup y'all? I was advised to make an intro thread so here I am. Little background about me first, I'm 26 and was honorably discharged from the Navy after 4 years of service in Jax, FL. Was pretty cool, but overall it sucked ***. Anyway, throughout my driving career I've owned 5 Honda's and here are pics of my two favorites:
the grille was eventually swapped for one without an emblem-post.

And my b16 del sol
This love of my life was unjustifiably taken from me in my peaceful sleep and was found in this sad condition:
which brings me out of the Honda game and into something else, dun dun dunnnnnnnn the Miata of course. Here's what she looked/looks like:

hey look I'm being weird:
plans are to leave it alone for now, except for an updated head unit and shortshifter/**** next month. Piecing parts together slowly for a supercrazy install-fest in the early spring 2011. It's gonna be nuts. Quick rundown of what's gonna happen:
manual steering
A/C delete
oil cooler and coolant reroute kits
FM race rad/stage 2 fans
FM happy meal clutch kit
FM 3" turbo-back exhaust
turbo install
That's basically it. A rollbar will have to come into play somewhere, and if all is well and the engine is healthy, I'd like to get some serious autox and tracktime next summer.
Nice to meet you all

hey buffon, I didn't get green wheels to be jdm-tyte-fwd-drifter or whatever. I actually have an obsession with black cars that have green wheels. The RPF-1's will be green after the winter, and the hardtop will either be painted black or traded for OEM because, well, carbon fiber and kevlar are stupid-gay to me now and I really can't stand it anymore.

yeah that Fit was so much fun. Also was a huuuuuuge attention-getter. Way more than my Miata is. Can't tell you how many people asked me what it was or if it was a hybrid lol. I had a lot of money in the Fit, everywhere but the engine lol. Pretty much the same with the Miata but not for long ;]
And yes, Miata needs lime green wheels desperately. I should just put the daisy wheels back on for a few days and get these powdered now...

I found the Mazda3 to be a better value, thus why my wife has one now.

Welcome. Neither of your Hondas look bad at all, very clean and well maintained, which I will always appreciate. However please do not paint the miata's wheels green, your car as a package, including the unpainted wheels, looks so good as is.

I am a miata guy that has a honda and have to say for swaping parts nothing on the planet compares but I will take a miata over a honda all the time. Welcome to the site. Very clean car.
P.S. you should put a 2JZ in it and it would be mad drift like with green wheels.lol
