Yeah, i mean if he took a few seconds to read any other intro thread on this site he might of had an idea.
Plus he said he was in the marines? Don't they always torture the new guy?
We're at two pages and there hasn't been a pony or eggplant... What a puss.

This one has me stumped.
Genuinely good airbrush skills: Win
Applied to making a Norwegian Miata ape a US Marine jet: Fail
Rat Rod "stolen tags" door cards and Fender: Win, on a Rat Rod. (Well, either door cards *or* fender on a Rat... Even on a Rat, Both: Fail)
On a Miata, and one with (inexplicably) a US military theme: Fail. Epic.
Nice Sparcos: Win.
In a stock street car: Fail.
A fair amount of work in the suspension in a short time: Win.
Making the car hellaflush: Fail.
Norwegian guy! Diversity!: Win.
Butt-hurtish Norwegian guy: Fail.
I think the fails have it. But I'm still sort of sad that he's gone off; like a lot of these n00bs, I think that it might be cooler to go a little easier on them initially. Y'know, it's not like anyone individually is especially obnoxious to them (well, besides Vlad ) but for the recipient, in totality, it's gotta be like a public stoning. Hence, butthurtism.
I came up in the skating world, and have always been amazed at how generously and warmly Groms and Noobs are welcomed into the scene. One could argue that these Hard Park kids are *our* communities Groms and Noobs, maybe it would be cooler to help them Clue Up a bit more gently, instead of sentencing them to Club Choadster and Pervasive Dumbness.
Come back Butthurt Norwegian Guy, these dudes were just goofing on you. (Except Vlad; he's just sort of Like That..) You're off to an interesting start, it's just a bit Much; Toss the license plates, take the "US Marines"-specific references off the car, stay with the dope-*** rivets look and get your suspension up to where it would work and I'll bet half this board would rock the **** out of it. I would. It's different, and different is good.

So, leave it to clubroadster to find this.

I've always found that one way for an OP to make ABSOLUTELY SURE that I visit his failed intro thread is for him to change the title to something like *delete this thread*.
My curiosity gets the best of me EVERY time.
Remember this, OP: Patience is a virtue, and running will only end in tears.
We weren't even mean to you.

while you may think that this site is completely full of ethugging, pasty, fat guys who live in their mom's basement...
you're wrong.
virtually all members (at least those with over a few hundred posts) are very physically fit, handsome adonises with very cute girlfriends or supermodel wives. I wont get into average salary here, but suffice it to say it led to Occupy Wall Street.

Agreed. But most posts were fairly mild as far as the usual hazing goes. Some even went so far as to praise some of the work (the paintjob), but be dismissive of the more useless ones, particularly the stance. You come asking for recognition, you'd better be ready for that which is given.
Not the first time someone has deleted posts and left. Certainly not the last.

He's in the right section, posting pics, discussing modifications, and talking about his goals. If you don't like his style, great. If it is different, so what? It obviously required some effort, like it or not. It's the Meet and Greet section, after all. Say hello, ask questions, or click the back button, it doesn't matter, but none of you that I've met in person act that way to someone who walks up and says hello.
