A hopefully nonbanal intro
Howdy all from Oklahoma. Let me first start out by saying that I'm pretty young, so have patience with my puerility and some silly ignorant things I might say (lol, I'll try to keep it to a minimum; I've got google. 
) As I said, I'm seventeen and have been driving since I was close to six. Started learning on a go-kart and moved onto a 1980 Ford F-100 with a three-speed on the stalk by the time I was nine. And before my first vivid memories, I have been rebuilding and restoring cars. Most recently, I (we) restored our '71 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia (by 'we' and 'our,' my brother - who is younger, mind you - restored most of it. I'm now merely the chauffeur.)
I live in a town near Tulsa, so we go to a track called Hallett (I'm sure some of you have heard of it.) Though I have never driven there, I have been allowed to accompany some who do. During a miata meet, some kind people let me bum off their vacant seat. Since this was the first time, perhaps it was the teenager in me that thought: "hell, it's just a miata. How intense could it be?" Well, I got my butt handed to me. I had a massive headache for the rest of the day. And from the moment I got out of the car, I couldn't get the smile (or headache, lol) away.
It wasn't much later that my father bought a '99 Miata. We shuffle it around, I drive it sometimes and most times he drives it to work. Most generally when I do, I drive it to school (if not the Ghia.) And I have the most fun out of it possible. My plan is - since I'm getting a job again and my father has consented - is to do some work on it. Perhaps I'm slow on the turn up, but I haven't found a thread regarding the best course of action to take on making a track day miata that functions as a proficient street car. Sorry for long intro.

Haha, nope. I got lots of questions, and I'm hoping I can find those answers myself, lol.

Just a tip: You'll find that often, you're not going to get all the information, exactly as you want it, in one thread. If you do, you'll have to search for it.
You need to read some build threads, see what people have done and what their feedback is, and decide which course of action you want to take.
Could we give you information faster? Yes. Will you learn as much? Not even close. You'll learn what to do, what NOT to do (there's an epic thread here, just look for faeflora... hehe) and how it should be done.
