Default Street miata rookie

Hi guys,

I'll start off by saying I've never driven a street Miata. But I've logged several hours in SSM and SM cars at track days. I take it upon myself to preach the gospel of the Miata to anyone who claims they are chick cars. Since I have at least ridden in each gen car on the street, I have a pretty good idea of what I'm looking for as an automotive purist.

I recently came into some unexpected medical expenses and I will be selling my current vehicle to offset the costs. Obviously the car will be replaced with a miata, and this is the reason I am here

I'm currently located in the DC region, and you could consider me an active shopper at this point. I'd love to meet up with guys from the area to experience a turbo'd car, and I'm open to suggestions on vehicles for sale. Glad to be here, and looking forward to my purchase and becoming part of the community.

The 99-05 is the better daily driver.

It is a bit subjective. Many taller folk, prefer the NA to the NB.

First jump to the 1.8L, without all the emissions junk. Also has front and rear chassis braces and bigger brakes...probably some other goodies I'm forgetting.

Definitely going for an NA, that's what I've been looking for. I love the looks of a '94 R package, but I have my doubts I'll be able to find one of those, let alone in my price range. Thanks for the welcome!

You can find the R package styling pieces on the aftermarket. I wouldn't make the actual R a prerequisite, since you'd probably want to upgrade the suspension anyway. The R's suspension is not balanced well.
