Default Hello from south Texas!

Been a lurker here for a while reading up on yalls posts and whatnot. Thought I'd stop being a creeper and introduce my self. I'm Stephen, i live in San Antonio, Texas. I drive a 2000 nb. Bought the car about a year ago, stock other than a deleted resonator and stainless brake lines as well as a hard dog double diagnal roll bar and harness bar. 96k miles for 4500. Hard s suspension equipped.

Drove it around like this for about 6 months. Painted the wheels black, cold air intake, replaced a leaky caliper, put ceramic pads in, oil changes, etc. THEN, I stumbled upon a turbo miata for sale on craigslist for 2500. Blown motor. But it had a lot of parts on it, guy even threw in a new motor. So i jumped on it. Finally one step closer to chasing my friends 1.6 turbo car.

That's my miata parked next to the parts car. Sorry i didn't take much pictures of the swap process. Don't mind my schnauzer.

So i put the black turbo donor car back together with all my stock parts and the replacement motor and sold it with enough money left over for a few upgrades. Being a begi coolant reroute, mspnp to replace the voodoo box, and a few other odds and ends. Took the car to the track and noticed that my clutch didn't hold the extra power. Still ran a 13.9.

My buddy standing up drives a 1.6 turbo. Motors in a 99 nb with a full cage.. wasn't racing that night.

So back under the knife again for a stage 2 act clutch

Haven't taken her to the track again since but it sure does grab now. Been sorting out my tuneing and ebc, pcv routing and what not. Will have to post a rencent engine bay pic soon. But this is how she sits now....

Full Specs....
00 red nb hard s package with torsen
5Spd Bp4W block and head
Mazdaspeed turbo, ebay fmic 2.5in turbo back greddy exhaust. Cone vatozone air filter. No cat. Whinebro 255 fuel pump, 460cc injectors

949 6ul 205/50 r15 all season hankooks. Koni yellows with ground control. FM front and rear sways.
Egt and boost vacuum guages. Aem wideband.

Aluminum front subframe bracing. Stainless brake lines. Oem front lip. Hard dog roll bar. Drilled and slotted rotors. Undertray intact. 10 psi wastegate spring.

Man that's all i can think of. Probably missing somthing but its cool. Lemme know what you guys think. Hoping to meet some of yall here locally, maybe give me a few pointers on tuning MS lol. Thanks guys.

Nice clean NB man. I don't usually like red Miatas but yours is sharp. Did you buy the over the radiator setup with the turbo parts car or put it together yourself?

It was in the turbo parts car. Only thing i did was shorten the pipes so i could retain the front air dam/scoop deal + undertray.

Thanks guys. Shes my first miata + turbo car. Its a break from the jeep/4x4 scene that i been in for the past 5 years. Feels good not to spend so much on my jeep anymore lol

I'd put some padding on that noggin knocker before a minor fender bender makes you derpy.

Nice ride.

Welcome, nice ride!

Why does your friend have a 1.6 in an NB? Take no advice from him.
