Ebay **** will not work, don't even bother.

Look in the classifieds for used kits, they are the best bang for the buck.

I suggest you read a BUNCH more before you make any decisions. Read everything. Understand what you are doing before you actually try to do it IRL. From what you have posted, you know nothing about turbo-ing a miata. Spend a few weeks here and you will figure it out. Then you will read your first few posts and LOL at how noobish you sounded.

Have a great day,
Mike

Where in TX are you?

I saw your (very confusing) posts on M.net

Can you start by telling us exactly what parts you have, maybe posts some pictures?

Do you know what brand these parts are?
Are they from ebay?

Many of us are running ebay intercoolers/charge pipes
and several of us are running ebay Turbos and BOVs.

BUT, you CANNOT use an ebay manifold, it will crack.

Use the search function on this site and you will learn a lot.

My bad on the periods. I tend to do that. anywho, yes sir, they are all the "jdm" parts from ebay. controller:yes, in car turbo controller. My "kit" came with the in hood controller. Would that do the job?

I am really trying the search but it isnt working for me guys. please be patient with me and give me the right keywords to put into the search. Thanks again.

Well what exactly do you need to know?

I know that you need a different manifold and downpipe for sure, I also know that you need engine management.

I am finding out by many, the ebay manifold is shitt. I was going to get the downpipe to match it but I now suppose that would be a waste of time and money huh.
I was planning on going with an AEM piggyback
I was going to do RC 315's but I heard 440-550 would be better with a few more brand options.

Im trying to find just what parts I need to have a full kit mainly. I know different parts are needed to complete different DIY's yet, what main set of parts would ANY turbo kit usually contain? That is the main thing Im trying to find out.

Your BOV and IC are ok, they will work.

Mani\Turbo\DP- I would look into buying a good setup, whether it be used greddy or a Begi-s (bellengineering.net)

Tming\Fuel control- MS is best bang for buck, it can be had for ~$500 and has alot of support on this board. WBO2 sensor reccommended if you care at all about engine life.

Oh and a boost gauge.

Thats all you really need. Do you have any power goals in mind?

no like, how much do you want to make when turbo?

You may want to look into buying this

Shanghai Starter Kit 1999-2005 BEGi

or this

BEGI 1.8L Starter Kit 99-05 BEGi

They both Turbo, manifold, downpipe combos that will all bolt up nice, the difference is the second one comes with a nice garrett turbo.

Then youll just need an oil feed and drain and some other random bits

Craigslist your parts to an unsuspecting victim, make sure they know it's JDM though. Don't make the sale at your living quarters either.

Your going to spend atleast $1500 to get 5 psi\140-150whp. There are little costs everywhere that start to add up, but if you really want the extra power, then it is worth it.

What 3 gauges are they? Fwiw my autozone special boost gauge is decent, especially at $25.

LMAO!!! Im a big ebay'er and fairly good craigslist'er. Im finding that the BEGI kits are probably going to be my best bet. 140-150 to the wheels sounds fukin awesome...to start. I would continue to build/upgrade.
and the gauges are the boost,air/fuel, and oil pressure. One reason I look at them is because of the center console gauge pod I have found on miatamania.com they are 2 1/16 gauge as is the the pod.

Center console gauges are useless, you can't see them. I would either get a A-pillar mount or just mount it on the steering column.

Air\fuel is useless too. Get a wideband and a real AFR gauge.

And trust me, 5 psi is fun for about two weeks, then it is slow again. Boost is addicting and expensive. Plan ahead for wanting moar boostz.

Waste of money. The air/fuel will be narrowband, you already have an oil pressure gauge, so just buy the boost gauge for $25, and a $25 two gauge a-pillar mount. Aem uego controllers are $280 ($180? I forget) and you'll need it. The shanghai turbos ARE eBay turbos, but they've supposedly reseached to find the "best" one.
