Talking n00B in SoFlo

Hey guys just wanted to make an intro post! My names Chris and I'm from the South Florida area. I just picked up a 90' with about 160k miles, and its a dream. I've always wanted a Miata, specifically a turbo one. So i figured this forum would be the best to learn the ropes and meet cool people! I'm looking to get into self tuning, because when i get my turbo i want to be ready to deal with, and work out the bugs myself. Anyway here's some pics of the car.

It came with the car when I bought it. No complaints since I have all my parts

I've since put on a new turbo CHRA (gt2860), previous owners beat my car to hell and back. Original turbo was toast.

Prev owner also swapped a good BOV with some e-ghey unit that wasn't sealing. Causing boost leaks and made my MAF readings inaccurate.

Also came with a XEDE, & I hate it.

Looks clean though man! im probably going to try and shoot for the FMII kit with a megasquirt if i can. Seems the most hasslefree imo.

You'll do just fine here.

May I recommend some Flow-Force Injectors, Or use ID725/1000s

Welcome to the forum. Yes, megasquirt is the way to go for these cars. The FM systems are good and complete. BEGi always gets orders wrong because they have incompetent management. MK Turbo is almost ready to go public and is going to be priced right.

Ive heard a lot about the Flow Force's, that was probably what i was going to incorporate. I'm definitely going to need a big injector because e85 stations are super abundant near me

And yeah sixshooter i did a lot of research before i even bought the miata to begin with FM stuff always seems so straight forward. I do personally like the Megasquirt better than the Hydra for my application though. i don't need a 2k standalone for what my plans are.
