Default 10AE in Toronto

I've been lurking around here long enough so I figured it's time to get the intro post over with. Programmer by day, tinkerer by night. Purchased my Miata a year ago and enjoying the hell out of it. Pretty new to cars in general so I often have more questions than answers.

I'm looking forward to diving into the world of tuning. Maybe someday a V8. One can dream...

I just spent 5 Days in Chelmsford... 3-4 hours north of you i believe...

I had to drive through Toronto..... I hated everything about it... Traffic wise that is. lmao

How the hell do you guys get around in the Daylight??? Its seems as though traffic is backed up all day long.... and its because up there, EVERYONE speeds.... The Limit is like 80k or 100k.... most are going 140k+

Anywho... thos people speeding along dont realize that there are On/Off ramps all along the highway. Even though it is a 3-4 lane highway, As soon as traffic encounters an on/off ramp, EVERYONE in EVERY lane Slams on their Brakes.... creating an accordion effect, and stopping traffic... Please Tell your Fellow Canadians to knock it off...

hahaha jk... but not really.... but jk...

I love your country. Welcome to the Forums! Post some pics of your car, as well as a list of current/potential modifications. Also, Pictures of Cats are mandatory here... you must provide them, or the Banhammer shall be dropped. lol

Oh, and tell people around toronto to stop buying all the Porsches of the world... i saw at least 60 different ones (all higher trim than the boxter) along a 360km stretch... lmao You guys need to share the wealth... lmao

Haha. Well first, I think the Vancouver car scene is way bigger than anything here. They're hogging all the nice cars in this country.

Toronto traffic is horrible in a world class way. The city's expanded grown so much over the years, but there's been no comparable improvement in public transit and roads. So we now have a higher commute time on average than LA.

You actually hit the nail on the head. The biggest problems driving here are speed, left lane etiquette, and idiotic merging.

Speed is interesting - our highways have too low a speed limit. There's a group fighting to get speed limits in Ontario changed (Stop100.ca). It makes for very high differentials in speed which causes chaos. The lack of left lane etiquette exacerbates the problem.

Current mods for the most part are in the sig now. Going to start building the DIYPnP soon, and throw in some water meth because why not!
