Default New dude!

Sup, Im Cody. Cars are my everything. As of now I am here to do my studying and learn all about Miatas and what I need to do to turbo my miata once I purchase one when I leave Japan. Looking to go the cheapest and most effective route. Looking to buy my miata in Southern California. 1991-1994 is what I would like. So could yall help me out?

Within that year range, the answer is 1994, because 1.8L.

ya i know the 94 has the 1.8L but other than displacement and a little more power what else does the 1.8L have to offer?? like does the head flow better?? higher/lower compression ratio? i know there is more mass so it may rev a little slower. im looking for quick rev and something that can handle boost best

Better everything. Spools turbos 1000 rpm sooner. Makes more power. I believe better head and intake manifold (especially the 99-00). If it revs slower with equal gear ratios, that means the car is slower. 1.8's are not slower.

If you're looking to find a cheap Miata, keep your criteria. If you are interested in performance and boost, than you should be looking for a 94-97.

Boost best is 1.8L, don't worry about quick revs just get a light flywheel + trubo.

Why spend money twice when you can 1.8L and have it foreverz

You will have the same money on a 94 1.8 by the time you swap the rear end on a 1.6.
By the way if you are a student living in a school dorm the cheapest most effective route is to purchase a well sorted tuboed miata form one ot the turbo miata guys, turn the boost down and enjoy the car while in school. (My 2cents)

I much prefer a car that's slower and shitty, so long as it revs quick.

please watch your possesive vs plural.
