So maybe I forgot to do this little bit, most forums just require it before any other posts, and I think after lurking for a while I should at least give everyone some ammo to troll me with.

I'm Tom, I'm an east coast guy trapped in socal. I have a '96 montego with a medley of random parts from other models, unthrottled JRSC 45 kit with some cheap ebay FMIC and about 5 miles of piping. MS2 DIY, JR header, hy-tech exhaust, tein flex (soon to be xida CS), 15x8 nickel and 15x9(track/auto-x) bronze 6ULs. The motor is coughing blood, leaking/burning oil like a rotary, but it has wonderful compression and seems to run strong. I have some valve stem seals, front/rear main, oil pain and pump in my near future just to freshen here up. A good friend of mine and I have worked together piecing parts from the buick riviera/regal blowers to make a cheap M62 upgrade for the 45 kit bits. It's actually close to a straight swap with some fabbed parts. Kind of interesting if you're into blowers.

Lets see, first track day experience was me turning Sonny Watanasirisuk's NA race car into a John Deer tractor at buttonwillow during a live race. I've done a few others at the generosity of 949RACING at Hallet in Oklahoma and some others. I have really only brought my car out to some of the mini dorifto-kids "go kart" tracks for time trial events and a few mild auto-x events at AAA Speedway in Fontana that were noncompetitive beyond friends in unclassed cars, but I wouldn't mind seeing where I fit into competition.

I troll pretty hard on the epic elite CR.net abortion forums, but beyond the for sale section I find that place to be ******* useless. A lot of my more insightful friends tend to draw my attention here when I'm being a noob and searching for MS stuff or various performance mod information. I really do appreciate this forum more and more as I learn a bit for myself in real world application and I think the butthurt noobs need to get a grip and come back when they're ready. Hopefully I'll have some unique angles to contribute to various projects I've had to undergo on my own.

Getting tired of how do I hellaswagstanceflush eh?

I think I've posted over at CR twice, but have read many threads. There seem to be a (very) few level headed guys there (you included), and I always wondered why the **** they waste time there, and how long it would be before they jumped ship to the big boy forums.

Anyway, welcome.

Unfortunately it's the slamburgler haven for the gigantic socal miata community which tends to encompass everyone, even the level headed guys. So in order to get cheap part-out opportunities and sometimes in an attempt to bring the noobs over to the dark side, we co-mingle a bit. CR.net has over the past two years gone farther downhill and really only serves as a miata-specific "craigslist auto parts" site with the perk of braing-damaging entertainment. Although, holy **** MT.net, but lately all the retarded question threads on here have been legendary! Hense my recent activity spike lol.

But they don't stick around long. One thing I love most about this forum is how quickly those types get assraped banned.

I particularly liked the one: "Hey I have this car with an engine, and it makes a noise. Any problems or solutions associated? Kthx"

I mean... I'd at least tell you what color the shift **** is.

Clubroadster is like an MMO FPS combination. Like Planetside.

It's the tards vs. the surviving few smart people. It's fun in a sick and stupid kind of way.

It's significantly less fun when you lose the "us vs. them" way of looking at it.
