Welcome aboard wrecking. It sure looks like you don't need any hand holding but; I wonder why all the noobs just refuse to put their location below your Avatar?

I think that's a good way to meet people who are local to you. Just my 2 cents.

Don't the MSD and Bipes both just retard timing (except the Bipes does it better)?

Default rofl, I know its ok

Its ok, the bipes RPM control is an old school set up to be used with the msd btc. I'm using the Engrish apexi SAFC to control the fuel curve, high flow fuel walbro and some 440 supra inectors to take care of fuel d. Etooo.... Oh, also going to do that little duel rail mod I've been reading about : ) Any way Dick Bipes was actually the guy that gave me the msd, he stumbled on it in storage. "A really cool cat if you ask me." Yeah and I'll end up running an acu before I hit up a stand alone. That is if I even need to, I'm not going to run crazy boost, I figure with the way I drive I'll only be needing about 200hp, and when i tune those little honda 1.8s I alwasy get around 250 rel to the wheels. "But sooo far from fun in comparison to ma roadster." I've also got a couple of tig welded parts for res, and oil catch... But hey, those are next to my payneless box, my boss road race motor, and my fire suit lol. I'll dig up some pics, normally I build old brit cars n hot rods, but my miata was my daily for way to long. Its time to build a twin turbo, "Grins," I was going to do a blow through on my 2002ti but I sold that to a friend to concentrate on my eunos, after all whats a man to do with all those damn cars? ehm, sell them and build his roadster! I'm also looking for a set of N2 overfenders, chances are I'll just mold some myself, "carbon fiber is fun just don't let the res catch fire."

Thanx guys, I'll be diggin up info on here all the time, if you know any one that needs a full fire suit I'll be selling mine in the near future.

Welcome to the forum.

Double check on using those 440s with the stock ECU. It won't be able to idle them. I've got 330s installed in mine (turbo is coming soon) with the stock ECU + Emanage Blue and it has a tough time idling sometimes, especially on a hot start.

Thumbs up ooooooooooo

you know I hadn't looked into idle issues, Thanks for the heads up! What signal does the ecu change in order to tame the injectors? If it turns down the curve at idle do you think I could just spin the first *** back for the low rpms in order to make up the dif? I'm hoping thats how the stand alone does it, I don't know of another way other an adjusting the fuel curve... Hmmmm, if you have any input please it would be great! Idle isn't something I've addressed yet.

I don't think I can answer that question b/c I know very little about how exactly these piggybacks work. I do know that the Emanage Blue alters the MAF signal to get more fuel in, and a quick google search told me the SAFC does the same thing, so you might be stuck with the same issue as me, or it might be more capable.

You should post in the ECU/Tuning section, someone there will be able to answer for sure.
