The plan is to build it up into a dual purpose street/HPDE car. I got this one not quite a year ago, and I'm signed up for my first track days April 2nd and 3rd at Sebring with Chin.

I also have a 2006 NC that I've had about 4 years, I was originally going to turn that into a track car, but I decided it's too valuable, and because of the top the solutions for streetable roll bars aren't to my liking. So that one will stay my convertible.

My idea is to gather lots of real data as I build up the car, sort of make one change do a track day, see how much difference it really made. So I got a used Evo4 data logger that I've got in the car now. Don't have many sensors for it yet, but that will be part of building up the car.

Ultimately I'm planning an engine swap, right now the leading candidate is a K24, but I'll see what's available when I get around to it, or whenever the tired 1.6 I've got in it gives up.

I'm at Sebring pretty regularly but I don't run with Chin. Have you ever run there before?

It's a big track and there's lots to learn. Watch in-car videos to familiarize yourself with the turns prior to showing up. It will put you ahead of where you might be otherwise. I've got a few in my build thread if you can't find many others.

I've been to the 12hrs several times, and played enough Forza, and watched enough videos to have a pretty solid picture in my head of the track. Of course I fully expect to be completely lost and overwhelmed at first.

Mostly I'd just like to learn how to get around the track fairly smoothly, and you know, not crash and stuff.

Greeting me when I got home.

Sixshooter, who do you run at Sebring with? Just out of curiosity.
