Default Hello From New Zealand

Hey all, been reading and lurking for a while now so I thought I'd say hello.

Jose from Auckland, New Zealand and have had my '91 NA6 for nearly a year now with some minor bits and bobs in it (RB tubular bar, 949 endlinks and will soon have some FCM Elites when they arrive).

Looking at turbo charging the car in the future but knowledge, money and time are at a low at the moment (still a university student in my second to last year -I have a part time job so I'm not quite starving). So whilst I'm gathering money and waiting for time, I thought I would acquire some knowledge and read some stuff on here.

Couldn't find a more current or good quality picture of the car though so I hope this will do:

A few maintenance things still need to be taken care of; accessory belts, timing belt and (maybe) head gasket to name a few.

I will try to keep silly questions to a bare minimum and yes I do know how to use the search function. I've read a few stickies already so a few basics are in my head; let's hope they stay there

See you all in the more interesting bits of the forum =]

Honeymooned in NZ for 17 days 15 years ago. My impression of the road system over there was that the roads were designed by a sports car enthuziast or someone with parkinsons disease - hardly a straight stretch of road in the country!!!

As soon as you can afford it, get a turbo on the car. The extra power will definately make the grin on your face bigger.

I'm also from New Zealand, and have been lurking here for ages, reading,...learning!

Currently have a mostly stock '89 NA, factory LSD. Low mileage (113KM)

Have added: Simota intake, 'style' bar, Nardi Deep corn, GV lip.

Undertook some maintenance (DIY + mate):
Cambelt / waterpump / radiator hoses / heater hoses.

I want to add a prefabbed turbo kit next year hopefully, along with adjustables, wheels etc. Will need to do clutch before then, plan on FM Happy Meal. Sup!
