Austin TX: just picked a miata, now I'm ready to pants party
Well, kind of. Picked up a 94 miata about a week ago off a buddy who threw it on the back burners, because he went gay for 240's(been there, done that)
Some history of the car. I've been around it for years, used to have the JRSC kit on it. eventually, he sold that off, ran it n/a for a while and started piecing together a turbo setup. Which brings me to where I am now. He had a pretty solid start, but upon further investigation. I'm starting to wonder what he was thinking.
^yeah sorry about that
here is the car as it sits now, I'll be ditching the ebay manifold,EWG,and t3/t4 ebay turbo. In favor of a quality log one from FM,begi, hks etc.. lmk if anyone has one for sale, I'll probably be picking up the isis t28, not sure on that yet.
so far I've got
-goal: a reliable 250-275whp
-ms2pnp
-rx7 460cc
-innovate wideband
-intercooler w/piping and freddy bov
-aluminum rad, 6puck clutch, and walboro are already on car.
Im sure im missing a handful of things, but this should be a sufficient start.

Thanks! Turbo has never been used, no shaft play. Its a "jdm sport" .63a/r exhaust, .50a/r compressor. I wouldnt mind running it but I plan on drifting/ putting in a few track days with this car. I'd like full boost to come in before 4500-5000 rpm. I would run the manifold till it cracks, but I need a t2 flange and no egw. Also that ebay 44mm vband wastegate hits the m/c.

I've got a 240 i can sell you to beat to **** out of. It's rust free and the 240 community doesn't give a **** if its a nice car and you slam it *** first into a wall. Don't go ruin a miata like this. The last guy who did that got laughed out of here.

As long as if you aren't an idiot (and you don't sound like one so far), doing a drift event every once in a while really isn't that bad. I've thought about it, but I just can't bring myself to do it, especially running tandem. It's entertaining to watch and listen to though! Good luck getting everything pieced together properly.

I imagine that I would not even recognize the are now. Last time I was down it was hard to tell where Austin stopped and RR began. Manchaca, that's near Ben White as I recall. Also home to the only full nude strip club, at least it was in the late 90's. Can't recall the name though...
I brought this back because it's important.
