Default Hey all, new guy from Va

Hello my name is William Watson and I live in Lynchburg, Va. It is extremely boring here and not a huge import tuning fan base. I am 17 and attend college here for now. I bought a 1990 red Miata with a blown engine for $300.

Yes the PO was a stupid kid, that how the engine was blown. I did not paint the wheels red Either. That has since been removed. There were also red neons and he painted all of the trim in the car red. It has been Hell getting all of it back to stock like color.

In this next picture obviously I have removed a fair portion of the engine.

Stripped dash.

Alright from here I went to my local junk yard and purchased a 2004 motor with 50K on it for $750. Not to bad I don't think. Then I installed the engine ( yea I guess you could figure this to be the next step, but for complete clarity I will state as many steps as I can.)

Ever since that point I have been Wiring on the car and just tonight I got it to cough sputter and almost catch up. I am running a MSII with Abe's PNP. I plan on working to help in developing better VVT support and NB support for the MSII. I know my way around C++ and VB. Previously I was active on the MR2OC board and actually owned a very clean 1985 MR2, but sold it to start my miata project (this is the PO picture of the car before I purchased it. It is actually for sale again if anyone is interested haha.)

My DD is a 2007 Ion (crap). I also was active in the Ubuntu project for several years as well as many google labs projects. I am a big fan of open source and that is why I have taken liking to the MS. Well I think that covers the basics. First thread down hopefully I didn't make too big a fool of myself.

EDIT: Sorry bad links. Just fixing them.

My dad preached in Appomattix. (However you spell it.) It is beautiful there. The people are very friendly, and great deer hunting.

As far as women. few and far inbetween..............................

good Luck!

I must agree on the women commit for sure haha. Update on the car. It is running thanks to the collaborative efforts of the people on this board (AbeFM being the major one). I obviously have been lurking, but hope to contribute once this thing passes state inspection.

Come to the NE dyno day in DE if you want to meet all the cool members. No one else really matters that doesn't come.
