Default New member in Texas-Momma's N/A 2000

Howdy y'all. New to this forum. I live in Crowley, TX just south of Ft. Worth.
My wife has a 2000 Miata. 1.8L, manual transmission, base trim (I think), 130k miles. She is the original owner. All stock.
Other cars: 2007 Mazdaspeed3, '96 Mazda 626 (280k miles), honduh minivan, 92 chevy 2500, 58 GMC, 56 BelAir, tractors...

With the Speed3 I've been on Mazdaspeedforums.org for a few years. I've done a fair amount of wrenching over the years but mostly just repairs, no swaps or major conversions. Never added a turbo to an NA car. yet...

At the moment I am replacing the head gasket on the Miata and just trying to get her back on the road. Hopefully my wife will get interested in the car again once it is running. (we've birthed 2 children since I blew the head gasket.) If she has no interest in it, then I get to play with it.
iirc, the clutch was slipping a bit, so a FM Happy Meal is probably in our future. plus tires, brakes, suspension...
I have a Lot of reading to do.

Jason

Thanks for the welcome guys. Code Monkey, I've see you post on MSF. most of my posts tend to stay in the DFW section lately.

my computer is acting up at the moment. I'll try to get some pics up soon.

FINALLY got that dang crank bolt off! Loosened A/C condenser and unbolted the sway bar. Could Not get my impact on it. I did manage to get a Big breaker bar on it though. Had my wife hold the brake while in 5th gear. That did it!
Got a little more clean up to do on the block. Then as soon as I get the head back from the machine shop, I'll be ready to start buttoning it back up finally.
