Default new miata owner!

Hello people. Just wanted to stop by and Introduce myself. My name is Sao. Here are my stats. Should I sell this car and buy a rust free lower mileage car? let me know. I will be using it as my dd. But I enjoy the extra power that comes with the turbo.

stats:
1997 mazda miata
198k 1.8L
body is in poor shape.
Crappy top
Map-cal ecu
new timing belt, water pump, exhaust, Koni streets
what is it worth to you guys?

Seems like a goodish deal... the turbo manifold looks pretty horrible, and there's as lot of rocker rust on it. Give it some TLC and everything should be good.

Honestly, since you don't have the best engine management (and I'm being kind), along with the rest of the turbo system being only "ok" (no intercooler), I'd sell the entire turbo kit for ~$800, and enjoy a great daily driver miata with the better 1.8. Slowly put some money into it, like body work, paint, steering wheel, seats, top, wheels, and for the love of god let some kind soul on here send you a stock shift ****.

The thing is the turbo system and engine most likely need some work to be "good", like a megasquirt, intercooler, tuning, maybe injectors, and so on. While you're doing all that, and you're obviously on a budget, you're not going to get any of the other stuff done, so you'll still be climbing into a crappy looking car. Just my

Keep the turbo. Depends on what you want to use the car for. Nice score mate.

At a minimum, you should get an air-filter on that turbo.
