New owner, hi everyone
Hey everyone, My name is Tim, and just yesterday I purchased a 1990 Miata. I work at a VW dealership and it was a trade in, so i scooped it up before it went to auction. I paid 1,000 dollars for it, its a 5 spd, black interior, and faded red exterior It only has 126K miles on the clock. Its missing a couple peices, the pass. side mirror is missing, and the passanger side moldings around the conv. top are missing which obv. makes the window not seal.
I look foward to learning alot about these cars and restoring this one to prime condition again. Ive done some research about these cars already, but have much to learn. I already know about the short nose crank, which mine has, oh well.
The only problem the car has right now is the driver window (manual) is inoperative. The cable is obviously damaged somehow as I can hear it inside the door panel, and theres a section of cable that is actually hanging out of the top of the door! If this is a common issue, how do I go about fixing it? any new parts required?
