Default Hello form Scotland

Just thought I'd say hello to everyone.

My name is Russell and I just bought myself a 98 MK2 RS,with a HKS turbo installed. Plans is to try out, have a look round and then improve.

Welcome Rasc!

Lets see some pics of that beast. We didn't get 98's in the US, so that car is kind of a rare beast around here.

Heh, Minilites? I have those on my Triumph! (At least I think that's what they are...)

Its a shame they are so heavy

Very much like Minilites but they are Watanabe, light, relatively rare and quite sought after I believe.

Love the TR6 one of my all time favs.

It rolls, but it does not run. That was supposed to be this summers project. If I'm lucky, it will be this winters project...

Any plans to change up anything on your car?

Well first I just want to baseline it. See what works, what doesn't and what would be nice. First thing is wheel arch repairs, curse of the British Isles, then rust proofing along with sundries like gearbox turrets etc. big issue will be sorting out the forced induction, although I might remove it and install on my MK1 later.

Sorry to hear about the rust. Move to Oz. We have no rust and a couple of MX5s here that had turbos on when they left the factory. Both useless as standard but easily improved.

Sounds like good idea however the 5 might prove too heavy for hand luggage!
