My name is William. I am a rookie Miata owner. You have a well organized and detailed forum. I just purchased a 2010 Miata Touring equipped with PHRT, Sport Suspension and Torsen Limited Slip. As of right now it's totally stock. My plan is simple for now. I want to get involved in autocrossing (again) and want simple reversible mods. Bigger stickier rubber on bigger lighter wheels along with a lower ride height and stiffer more precise suspension. A little later I would add some mild HP add ons. Around 30-40 HP will suffice for the time being. It's important my car remain efficient and reliable for the next few years. After I pay her off I'll turn to installing a turbocharger or maybe a supercharger.
I have a decent set of tools and mechanical skills. I intend on doing most if not all the modifications.
I have owned a 1970 Triumph TR6, 1970 Datsun 240Z, 1974 Datsun 260Z, 1971 Olds 442, 1999 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pick up, 2001 Mazda MP3, 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser, 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera, 2008 BMW 335i and finally my current Miata. I am a member of the SCCA, the South Florida Miata Club, The Treasure Coast Miata Club and Equipe Rapidde (AutoX) Club.
I have also owned a handful of sporting motorcycles.
I am and will always be a certified gear/motorhead.

Thank 94MX5 Red. I just went the past two weekends at PBIR for the Targa 66 and HSR events. They had some SPEC Miatas running around but the real treat was all the beautiful and awesome historic race cars from the 50s, 60s , 70s and 80s. My favorite were all the IMSA and LeMans race cars. It must be nice to have money!!....Right?
