Default Noob from North Shore MA

Greetings from snowy Massachusetts. I got my car in May 2009, but recently started lurking here. No turbo yet, hopefully someday. It's a '92 Smurf with 95k. PO painted the windshield surround and mirrors black, and added the Home Depot front and rear lips.

First year I owned it, no mods, just maintenance items. Last summer I autocrossed it out at Devens AFB with the SCCA and local Miata club.

Current Mods/Specs:
Voodoo shift ****
HDHCDD Roll bar w/ padding
DIY gauge faces from Revlimiter's instructions and layout
Stock daisies with Falken Azenis for autox
22mm front sway w/ RB endlinks*
NA Bilsteins*
FCM bumpstops*
ATE Super Blue brake fluid*

*Going to be installed in the next couple weeks

Planning to install some aftermarket springs when I change the shocks, if I can find some in my price range. Looking at FM and Tein S.Tech at the moment.

Last autox of the season:

Maintenance, along with my friend's 90:

Welcome to the board. I'm happy with my s-tech springs. Bought them used years ago and they're still working great.

Thanks! Glad to hear the S.Techs are good, I'll look into those a bit more. Is that what's shown in your avatar?

Yes those are the s-techs on my car with 15" wheels. It's a good drop - nothing too drastic.

Yeah, it looks nice. Definitely don't want to be crazy low, the roads around here are terrible.

Welcome I am from snowy Mass as well, maybe some day I will see you at a meet or a autox event. I have a 1992 miata with a 1.8l swap and a fmII turbo kit. If you need any work done or need help I have a shop in Newton MA and I know these cars very well.

Thanks for the info. I try to work on the car myself whenever possible, but there are certainly issues that could be beyond my abilities. I'll look you up if I need anything.

Thanks!

I'm in Salem, MA, and I work up in Hampton, NH, so right by Seabrook. I can see the nuke plant right out my window. Lived in PA for the past 5 years, but grew up in NH. It's nice to be back in the area.

Oh man, thanks for the invite! Unfortunately the wife and I are headed to a friend's b-day bash down in Slummerville that night. Have fun, I'll keep an eye out for future events! The car is still trapped by snow in my dad's barn, don't want to spoil your fun by showing up in my RAV4
