Default Noob in AZ

Hey everyone, I'm Chris-27yrs old. I live in San Tan Valley,AZ and recently bought a stock, red '93 NA. Unfortunate hail damage helped bring the price down, but it's in great mechanical shape and had the same responsible owner for the past 14yrs. I plan to use it as a weekend/track toy. I've already removed the non-functional AC and de-powered the PS rack.(looped lines, not FM method)

I've been a DSMer for the past few years and I'm planning on using a Mitsu 14b or 16g turbo in my build. I just ordered my MSPNP setup from Scott and I already have my Innovative LC-1 wbo2, so I'm all set as far as engine management.
Other parts I'm using in my build are:
-RX-7 550cc injectors
-Walbro fuel pump
-F1 racing stage 3 clutch/turned factory flywheel
-CX Racing 18x12x3 intercooler and 2.5" aluminum piping
-ebay stainless manifold and downpipe, Mitsu-flanged
-turbo XS manual boost controller
-Stock 1g Mitsu blow-off valve
-custom roll cage
-1.8 rear

There's more, but that's all I can think of at the moment. Anyways, I hope to meet some of you local na/turbo Miata enthusiasts.

Welcome. My 1.6 has no issues spooling a 16g. I don't need to tell you how good these turbos are.

^^I'm with you there. MHI Evo 3 16g FTW! At what RPM are you seeing full boost and how many lbs are you running? Any dyno numbers yet?

I'm planning to only push 10-12psi as I'm still running the stock 1.6...for now. Thanks for the welcome guys.

I plan on it. I've never done any road racing/auto x before, so I'm looking forward to learning in the Miata.

Cool, you're in a good part of the country for it. Four tracks in the Valley (soon to be 5), and 6 within 3 hrs drive. There are a few different clubs that run events, but I'll shamelessly plug NASA since I run with them every month and know they're a good group. See you out there!

Thanks Nate. I hope to find the remaining parts for my setup soon so I can get out there and enjoy it. Do you ever go the the Pavillions on Saturdays?

Never been, but one of my co-workers keeps bugging me to go. Are you usually out there?
