Default Newbie from Levittown Pennsylvania sayin hey

Hey guys,
Just introducing myself. Jonathan from PA. Finally decided its time to get back on some forums now that i've started building another car. Current project is a 92' N/A. I've got basic Suspension and Brake upgrades, with Wheels and Tires.
Nothing spectacular planned for this car, since it will be my daily. Looking for an NB to build with 450-500HP by years end.

Welcome.
Are you talking 450-500 wheel hp? With a 4 cylinder? or V8 swap?

PA member count goes up one more.

Also very curious about a 500whp build.

500whp 1.8 build. Probably .002-.003 over, cams, and big turbo. I am considering upgrading the valve train on mine but he and I will do some talking and decide whether that is a route I might want to take.

Check that out. Its a friend of mine back in Texas. Moved from there to PA couple years ago, but like they say everything is bigger in Texas

Levittown is about 20-25 mins North of Philly, near the Trenton Bridge

and, its definitely doable... that would be impressive... i know the motor should be good, but what are you gonna do about the tranny??? our trannys dont typically like more than 300hp bone stock. lol
i blew the **** out of mine at just over 300hp. lol

Yeah... That is an unfortunate problem we have yet to fully solve. Went through 3 trannys in a matter of months. All were 5 speeds so the key may be a 6 speed with upgraded gears. However if this is going to fully solve the torque issues i've no idea.

yeah... and, the driveability issue... can only go so strong, and still be fairly driveable in everyday traffic... IF its you DD that is... idk what you plan on doing drive wise, but being a 500hp DD can get kinda tricky. lol
do you have emissions out there???

We have emissions but I have ways around that . As far as a daily I have a 92' thats my DD that I haven't put any engine mods on as of yet. If I do it will not be anything serious. Small turbo kit maybe 200hp keep it easy.

hell yeah... i cant wait to get my RHD shell put together... i will cruise that one, and go monster with my current NA.
its always good to have ways around emissions... its odd out here... if you live in pittsburgh, or around it, you have emissions, but its based on your address... luckily, my address is just across the border into Fayette county, and we only have safety inspections here... soooo im running full 3inch catless turboback... FTW. lol
sounds sic as ****..

Ya, with my DD NA, i just had the installer put a bolt in test pipe thats the same size as a high flow cat, so i can just swap when its time to get emiss inspected
