Default Noob saying Hi

Hey guys, nice forum you have here.

I am migrating over from the Mazdaspeed Protege world, just recently sold mine (actually, finalizing the sale today).

I am now looking into picking up an NA Miata. I've always wanted one, but never had the extra space, or a second car. Now I picked up a SAAB wagon as a DD and want my boosted Miata!

I've read pretty much every thread in both the pre-fabbed and DIY forums, and am ready to get with it, I just need to find my Miata.

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself...

-Brad

Welcome Brad. If you want to boost a Miata you've come to the right forum.

Please put your location below your Avatar. In due time you'll realize why

BTW, do you have any idea of what year Miata are you interested in?

Thanks for the welcome man, location has been added.

Ideally I want a '94, but I am open to any NA or NB...NA strongly preferred.

I don't mind picking up a 1.6L car (NA6, correct? Still learning Miata lingo) but the extra bit of displacement of the 1.8L would be nice.

Brad, welcome. There are several members in the Eastern PA area actually. We do dyno meets up there in Delaware once a year. I am originally from Reading, and will be playing in the Pottstown Rumble this weekend.

Good luck on the purchase and if you have any questions about the car, let us know.

Edit - seeing as how I am the resident CL *****.. I'll help you out..

Needs the funds from today's MSP sale though first, and not sure I want to drop that much yet...but that one's a beaut.

Brad C the New B. Welcome to this great forum. I have an NB, but with an NA I think you have a little more variety of parts to choose from, such as MSPNP. I used to go to Lansdale for the annual motorcycle thing, I live like 45 min to 1 hour from there. Good luck on your future Miata purchase. I'm pretty good at finding anything for sale in PA, if you have an idea of what you're looking for, maybe I could help out.

Thanks for the welcome.

If you see an NA up for sale, let me know.

a '94 1.8L preferred, don't care about options so much as long as it has an LSD. White is nice, but I am open on color choice...

Thanks!

I'm I confused or do LSDs come in later model NAs only? I thought the 96 was the first model with LSD but I really don't know.

If my research serves me correct, the 1.6L had an available VLSD (viscous), and the 1.8L's had an available Torsen LSD...depending on how the car was optioned.

I would put my money on your research and not on what I think!
