Default Something a little different

I'll start off by saying i don't own a miata but please don't hold that against me lol because what i do own is a underpowed ,RWD ,1.6 ,two seater lol

and here it is 1985 toyota mr2

Bought the car from the origanal owner that had blown the engine and parked the car behind her house. I started the project with the intensions to rebuild the engine and daily drive it because at the time i was DD a 87 turbo supra but like all things i do, i might have gotten carried away lol

so heres the run down

Engine
-rebuilt 4age
-t3 60 trim turbo
-450cc injectors
-A2W intercooler
-custom 2.5 exhaust
-1st gen dsm bov
-Megasquirt

Body
-installed 87+ side skirts and larger air vent
-starting on rust repair

suspension/brakes
-Bc racing coilovers (anybody running them on there miata?)
-Prothane bushings
-upgraded to late model brakes
-rocking NB wheels for now

Theres still a tone of work to do, but this site looks to be a great resource for projects like this, In the mr2 community very few people turbo these cars because there is a factory supercharged engine that drops in with very little trouble lol

Awesome man. One of my good buddies here has an 86 with a 20v swap. We are thinking about some boost for it though We are trying to figure out how to go the megasquirt route on the 20v and maybe make a screaming NA car. It feels like there is a lot left in that engine.

Well i'm running MS V2.2 and what id did as far as wiring it in was ,I get a jucked stock ecu and afm ,cut out the plugs and make an adaptor harness so i can switch from stock electronics to megasquirt in about 5 min.

The miata you see has a long and sad story behind it lol my friend bought it years ago and built it a real monster out of it (actually its the reason i turboed my mr2) so he brought it in to rebuild the turbo but things came up and he got his hands on a 1989 skyline GTR that makes 400hp at the wheel so the miata got parted out and the shell is still sitting in our shop maybe one day it'll be put back togeather but i kinda dought it lol

The Black tops are real screamers, I have a friend swapping one into his mr2 with the matching 6speed and trd lsd. If you want to MS it you have a few options you can go with a cheap basic ms1 v2.2 like i did config it for the black top dizzy or use a ford edis set up for the ignition or you can get a ms2 or ms-pnp both of these should support direct coil and should support the black top dizzy
