Default Noob Intro- Escort GT

Whats goin on guys, my name is Tino, and I own a 91 Escort GT.
Never had a miata, but theres such a plethora of BP Forced Induction info here I had to join up.

Current setup on my car is:
Ebay EMUSA Miata T25 manifold (Junk, Cracked, even w/DP braced)
Greddy 18G Turbo
RX7 460cc Injectors
Walbro 255
Modified SR20DET "Screamer" Downpipe Elbow (Internal Wastegate Dump)
Megasquirt II v3
Spec Stage 3+ Clutch disc w/ ACT HD Pressure plate..
Kia BP Valve cover (just for laughs)
Modified Civic Alum. Rad (lower outlet moved to side)

Im planning to make some changes to this setup soon, and hopefully you guys can help me out a bit.

Heres a couple pics of the car:

No filter for a street car?

Welcome to the site. Decent info here, we knew your mani was junk.

that mani was a temporary solution...I have a buddy that makes awesome custom mani's, but he kept pushin mine to the back burner, and this car is my DD... so screw it, it got me rollin lol... Im considering an absurdflow mani, depending on how well it will fit the FWD BP Platform.

As for the no filter, the Escort LX's washer res. mounts back on the strut tower, Once I relocate that, I'll have a nice spot for an intake to run to.

I like these cars a lot. I used to have an escort gt before I knew they had a BP in them but we beat that thing to death and it never gave up. It never looked as good as that one though.

When I found the valve cover at the boneyard, 1st thing I thought of was "This is gonna be funny as hell!!" (For those who dont know)

Only problems I've had were trans/diff related. popped a diff N/A, replaced it, then chewed up the spider gears w/ a BPT setup on the stock engine (200whp 222wtq) This one has been solid so far.

I'm actually the 2nd owner, bought it from the orig owner in NYC w/ 72k... got the window sticker/warranty cards, oil change receipts, hell even the original temp registration/ insurance cards from 1991 lol. Car now has 97k. Still original paint.

Love the ride. Almost had one while I was stationed in Italy. A-hole screwed me out of the deal. Wish I could find one here for the lady.
