Default Joining turbo land

Greetings... I'm a long-time Miata.net member whose building a Bauer Catfish kit car with a Mazdaspeed base. I'm hoping to tap some knowledge from those who have experience with forced induction on the tried and true Miata powerplant. It should be fun.

After messing with Laz I'm more and more in love with the MSM setup, as long as all components are used. With hard oil lines, hard water lines, a brace to the motor mount, and all the other little heat shields, it makes it a great setup.

Welcome and good luck.

Thanks everyone! I'm definitely looking forward to it. And thanks V... it should be a great base to start from. Factory turbo will be fine in the interim, but I can see myself "enhancing" the power as I go. For now, it's about making the conversion a reality and covering the details of the build list.

Just make sure you are running some stand alone ecu and not the stock garbage ecu that comes with the MSM.

My advice? Keep the mazdaspeed parts until you are ready to do a full upgrade then sell the motor and turbo parts complete. You will get more money for it than if you try and sell the parts separately. (experts, am I correct?)
