Default help too many variables

i know now i should have started this upgrade with getting the mspnp in first, but didnt. installed injectors and begi s3, removed egr,a/c,ps. after installing the s3, i put the mspnp and lc-1 in. now i cant get it to fire. i have checked all grounds (from what little i know), getting spark (not sure if its correct, but it arcs when grounded), getting fuel (i set them to the brain's pw schedule) (set the "req fuel" for the new 440's), and i would assume i'm getting air. please help, there are so many variables that i dont know where to start...

Have you selected the correct project? Without AFM? What have you set the REQ_Fuel too? Have you changed anything apart from the REQ fuel? Is megatune reading all the correct values for the sensors?

Have you selected the correct project? Without AFM? What have you set the REQ_Fuel too? Have you changed anything apart from the REQ fuel? Is megatune reading all the correct values for the sensors:

project 9495 w/o mas
REQ_FUEL set to 7.9 (1839cc 440cc 13.1)
changed the PW to this:
-40 5.2
-20 5.0
0 4.7
20 3.5
40 3.1
60 3.0
80 3.0
100 3.0
130 2.8
160 2.8

megatune reading as correctly as i can tell, my only ? is the a/f, it is reading 21.99 with key in on position along with LC-1 reading 22.4, but on cranking it drops to low 8's.

the realtime view gives me the following:

O2 = 4.980
coolant 51
batt 14.12 (my tahoe has been running all day! almost ran out of gas)
throttle% 49.0 (tried calibrating but it just keeps reading 125 or 126)
Gamma = 0
MAP = 154
MAT = 51
RPM = 0 then 200 on crank
PW = 0 then 3 on crank
IAC dc % = 12

i hope this helps you help me. i am definitely a newby at this stuff, and i have poked around long enough to take the dive into FI and MSPNP, i just wish someone would have warned me earlier to install the MSPNP 1st, get it working, learn it, then do the turbo. but too late for that.

spark settings:
60 + 22.5 (but i can set timing if she dont run)
fixed angle still set at 10 (never got past this point)

the calibration problem is a flaw in the program in megatune and they should really get it fixed.

anyway, to calibrate your TPS, you need to get the values by pressing and depressing right?

well after you do that, SAVE the msq. quit megatune, then restart megatune. load up your MSQ and BURN the entire thing to the MSPNP. it should work now.

that req fuel may be too much? im on a 99 with stock fuel pressure of 60psi though, but req fuel with 440CC Rc injectors is at 6.4. maybe lower the engine displacement value a little, you may be flooding your engine.

after you get your TPS calibrated, try to flood clear the motor for a few seconds, then try again.

is your TPS wired up correctly? it shouldnt be doing that, im sure 94-95 came with a variable TPS am i not correct? change your REQ-Fuel back to what it was, and try to check all your connections. i dont know know why you TPS is doing that though.

EDIT: wait a minute.

i didnt even see, you didnt state what year of car you had. tell us teh year of your car, all the mods you done, and we can work from there.

94 as far as the motor goes it was stock before i started going FI about 2 weeks ago. The BEGI S3 is what i put it in along with LC-1,MSPNP,the air intake sensor, and rc440's. but i dont even have the wastegate attached, i pulled the pin just to get it running under no boost, thinking i could get it to run on the supplied maps until i learn how to tune, or get be able to get somewhere that has a dyno.

edit: the TPS is untouched, was i supposed to do something to it?

nah, dont touch the TPS. but somethings weird if you arent getting the right VDC values from the TPS. on average, the TPS VDC value should be around 20-30 when your foot is off the accel. It should be in the high 150-220 or whatever on WOT, a big difference from when its closed.

Did you follow on how to install the IAT correctly by putting the pins through where the MAF was connected previously?

sorry, im not much help, i dont have a MSPNP, but im just going through some possibilities

The REQfuel has nothing to do with the cranking PWs. The cranking PWs are raw m/s of fuel which is why they have to be modified for different sized injectors. You should be ok with Brains PW values. You might want to lower them and try working your way up to make sure you're not just flooding the car. Did you reload a map or anything? You might want to reload the original MSPNP 94 msq and remodify the req fuel and cranking PWs as something might have gotten corrupted.
I suspect it's flooding but I don't know why your TPS value isn't changing unless it's broken.

car ran like a champ for last two seasons with lots of track time, in 8k range (its amazing what these cars can do on a track for those that havent gone to a DE event, i suggest you sign up), i had a refreshed motor dumped in last season and ran it to make sure all was good and got sick of people passing me on the straights only to be up there *** next turn, so i wanted a little bit more power. point is the TPS was working prior to, is that something that wouldnt let the car idol? either way any tricks for testing it?

edit: i have loaded the firmware 2 times already and went in and changed the REQ_FUEL, the PW tables, and the LC-1 in the configurator and in the EGO in megatune. am i missing something? will try lowering pw's, any suggestions.

You can check the TPS with a DMM, just make sure the resistance changes as you turn the throttle.

Try to get an analog multimeter for checking the tps. That way you can see that the resistance changes smoothly without sudden open resistance spots.

resistance is change with throttle, range from .5XXX to 1.5XXX.

how bad is that, and is that the answer to why it wont start, or did i just find another problem.

would it fire up with stock ECU reading the IAT (bad, yes, i soldered it to the pins on the MAS connector) and the larger injectors?

forgot to mention that there is no cat and a 3" enthuza exhaust.
