Default Noob question/flame opportunity...

Sorry guys...

I seem to have missed something, looking at going from my current full standalone which I made a harness for, to a MS based standalone. It looks like the diyPNP available online is based on MS1? and Braineacks Builds are based on the MS2 boards, so hes not just assembling diypnp and selling them hes actually doing his own kits based on ms2??

And my other option is ordering an ms3 and cutting up another stock computer for its plug/buying the appropriate plug.

ok so question one is this... diypnp refers to the ms1 based kit commonly available online? and MSpnp refers to using the available ECU plug to build your own pnp based normally on ms2?

Running a 1.6 with no creature comforts like AC, and being only interested in track work and reasonable fuel economy, and already having an LC1 etc, I cant see how an ms3 is better for me than an ms2?

Please inform me if my assumptions are correct or not?

Flame suit on.

i think you might be confusing the mspnp and the diypnp. ms1 for mspnp and microsquirt module for diypnp. microsquirt is ms2

Yeah thats most of what confused me. Is brains kits just a DIYPNP that hes building instead of me? maybe another pm is in order. ive just built a diypnp for a mates mr2 and ive confused myself.

Also, can anyone convince me to buy an ms3 for my goals?

Yup it's a diypnp he builds instead of you. You can request for a few modifications, but for the most part it's a "standard" diypnp.
