Default Racepak module for Megasquirt

A while back I got the guys at Racepak and DIY autotune together to create an EFI interface module for the MSI & MSII. They have worked their magic, it's done and available now. Fully compatible with DIY's Megasquirt PnP & DIYPnP.

This $375 module allows the following data to be displayed and logged in your G2X, G2X Pro, IQ3, UDX V300, V300SD, V500. Two simple commands load data into RacePak software, no need to manually enter and calibrate each channel. Yes, this also means you can display all that data on your onboard video using Racepak's free video integration software. Cool!

We're excited about this as it brings a very high level of functionality at prices that are club racer friendly. There are already EFI modules for AEM and many other ECU's. We will be carrying the full line and have the web pages for Racepak built in the next week or so.

MS I:
  • Engine RPM
  • Wat Temp
  • IAT
  • MAP
  • Injector pulse width
  • TPS
  • Voltage - (any channel)
  • AFR
  • O2 correction

MS II:
  • Engine RPM
  • Wat Temp
  • IAT
  • MAP
  • Injector pulse width
  • TPS
  • Voltage - (any channel)
  • AFR 1
  • AFR 2
  • O2 correction
  • Knock
  • Knock Correction
  • Ignition Timing

Displays start at around $625 for an IQ3. Shoot me an email with an outline of what you need and I'll make some suggestions.
I can set up a package deal including shipping.

Wow. Great work, Emilio!

I took a quick look at the racepak website and didn't readily find the info: do you know what the GPS sampling rate is on the DAQ device? Suitable for autocross?

Thanks Emilio, but I don't know if I can stomach bleeding out any more money on this car for a while. I'm going to ***** the "used" market.

Holy crap. Very spiffy; I'm glad to see there was progress made.

I thought the product was going to have to run over CAN, so it was going to be limited to MS2+. Pretty neat that/if it runs on MS1 as well.

Kind of digging this ancient thread up, but any reason this module wouldn't work on a brain-built MS2? (previously MS1)?

I haven't asked Tim and the guys to make a module for MS3 yet. My gut feeling is MS3 isn't fully mature yet.

The MS3 just changed the serial protocol in the latest alpha, so it is definitely not compatible.

Works with MS3 release firmware and alpha 11. I'll try alpha 13 later.

Has anybody tried using the Racepak dash with more recent MS3 firmware? Is it confirmed non-functional?

Anything past alpha 11 uses a different serial protocol and won't work.

Our enduro car, "Crusher" will be running and IQ3 and Smartwire power control system with MS3. We'll be using some of the ECU data fed into the IQ3 to display instantaneous and average fuel used per distance and per time increment.

We'll certainly share our experiences here once it's up and running.
